Chapter 34 - Chapter 34: Devour and Shatter

At the same time, on the other side of the battlefield—

All three Titans were desperately trying to find a way to defeat Sloth.

Sloth lumbered steadily toward the altar.

Behemoth stepped in, using its own body to block the path.

It positioned itself directly in Sloth's trajectory, its gears spinning at full capacity, emitting ear-piercing screeches. A gravitational field materialized beneath its feet, pinning it to the ground so forcefully that the earth cracked under the pressure—anchoring its position and amplifying its defensive power.

As Sloth drew closer, Behemoth spread its arms wide.

Upon collision, Behemoth locked Sloth in a tight embrace, exerting all its strength to halt the advance.

But against Sloth's sheer mass, even that proved nearly impossible.

Behemoth managed to slow it momentarily before being shoved backward. The ground beneath its feet cracked further.

With a fierce roar, Behemoth enveloped Sloth in a gravitational field, trying to drag it to the ground.

It was futile. Even pinned, Sloth continued to crawl forward.

Ziz and Leviathan, meanwhile, were nearly powerless to assist—any attack they launched would simply reflect back at them.

Still, they circled Sloth, searching for a weak spot.

When none could be found, they resorted to brute force.

Ziz ascended into the sky, unleashing a storm of lightning bolts, while Leviathan fired a barrage of water blades.

But it was all for nothing.

As soon as Ziz's lightning struck Sloth, it backfired, engulfing Ziz in his own lightning—amplified and reversed—causing him to scream in agony before crashing to the ground.

Leviathan met a similar fate. His water blades evaporated on contact, and cracks began to spiderweb across his body.

They spread rapidly until Leviathan completely shattered.

Only Behemoth remained—and Sloth was nearly at the altar.

Behemoth's eyes burned red.

Releasing its grip, it switched tactics, hammering Sloth with one powerful punch after another—each strike wrapped in a compressed gravity field.

Each blow cracked Behemoth's arms further.

Still, it did not stop.

Even when its system reported damage it continued, even when its arm was completely shattered—it continued to fight.

No arms? Then it used its head.

Behemoth funneled gravitational energy into its head and horns, slamming them into Sloth again and again.

Finally, Sloth paused.

Sensing something odd, Behemoth halted its attack.

It looked up—and locked eyes with Sloth.

Sloth slowly stepped back—not to retreat, but to gather momentum.

Then, Sloth lunged, its horn piercing straight through Behemoth.

Behemoth's resistance had become an annoyance—nothing more than a waste of time.

Sloth advanced, still impaling Behemoth on its horn.

The three Titans had fallen—defeated.

On the other side of the battlefield, Order and Gluttony fared no better.

All Order could do was repeatedly open teleportation gates to pull Gluttony away from the altar.

"This starving thing…" Order muttered coldly. "If this continues, it won't end well."

With that, he conjured a sphere in his hand and hurled it at Gluttony.

The moment it neared, the sphere expanded—trapping Gluttony inside.

Unfazed, Gluttony pushed forward—only to be instantly teleported back to the center.

Confused, it tried again—only to be warped back once more, caught in an endless loop.

Outside, Order watched through a projected screen.

"This will buy us some time... though I don't know how long."

He shut the screen off. His sword morphed into a pen.

Lifting it, he began writing in the air.

Equations, images, and diagrams unfolded around him.

"This is impossible... it's the same again..." he muttered, reviewing the data.

He was calculating the most effective method to neutralize Gluttony.

But every time he attempted to analyze Gluttony's devouring ability or block its mouths, the data vanished—swallowed as if by Gluttony itself.

"This ability of his is really annoying," Order grumbled.

Still, he persisted.

Inside the sphere, Gluttony began to grow irritated from the constant teleportation.

It stopped moving.

The mouths scattered across its body began to shift—converging on the main maw.

It began to devour itself, reducing to nothing but a massive jaw suspended in midair.

The jaw slowly opened, revealing a pitch-black void.

From that abyss, countless jaws emerged and layered over one another, forming an infinite loop of gnashing teeth.

The outer rows began biting through space itself, drawing everything inward.

The inner jaws joined in, accelerating the pull.

Space collapsed around the jaw—the sphere included—as everything was dragged into its gaping maw.

Outside, Order noticed the shift.

The sphere was shrinking.

"What the..."

He opened the projection screen—only for it to implode and vanish.

"This thing is beyond calculation," he said, eyes narrowed.

The sphere vanished completely, revealing Gluttony once more.

"This disgusting thing..."

It turned its massive jaw toward Order and devoured the distance in a blink, yanking Order toward it.

Order narrowly escaped the pull, darting aside mid-air.

Then, he slashed the air with his pen—ripping open spatial cracks that launched toward Gluttony.

Chains burst from the cracks and clamped down on each of Gluttony's teeth.

But Gluttony tore through them, devouring the chains and the cracks alike.

Order frowned.

Raising his pen skyward, he released a torrent of ink that blotted out the sky.

From it, armored knights emerged—drawn into existence, armed with gleaming blades.

Order pointed his pen at Gluttony.

The knights descended at blinding speed.

Each strike left long streaks of ink across Gluttony's surroundings.

Ink wrapped around him, enclosing him once more in a new sphere.

Then, the knights stabbed their swords into the sphere. From the tips of their blades, streams of ink poured out, flooding the sphere and engulfing Gluttony.

Gluttony stirred, attempting to devour the ink, but found it impossible. The streams had filled the entire space within the sphere, yet paradoxically created a void—an empty space with nothing to bite or swallow.

No matter how wide Gluttony opened its maw, there was simply nothing there to consume.

"I can hold it for now," Order muttered, glancing at the sphere. "But it's likely this method will fail too… so find a way to destroy it—fast."

Suddenly, the deafening crash of battle broke his concentration.

Order turned.

The Titans were down.

"It was still too much for them," he muttered, frowning.

He glanced back at the sphere, then flew toward Sloth.

"Stopping both Demon Lords at once... this will be tough."

As he flew, he let ink seep from his pen into Ziz and Leviathan's fallen forms.

Then he soared to Behemoth.

Hovering over its broken body, he knelt and touched the pen to Behemoth's head.

"Have you given up yet?" he asked softly.

In response, Behemoth let out a thunderous roar—declaring its resolve.

"You truly are a resilient bunch," Order smiled. "Then, in the King's name, I will fight with you."

Ink surged from his pen, flowing through every corner of Behemoth's shattered body and spilling out from the horn still embedded in it.

Ziz and Leviathan melted into ink as well, their essence flowing toward Behemoth.

All three streams converged above Sloth—merging.

From the fusion emerged a massive, jet-black form.

It struck Sloth with a single devastating punch, slamming him into the ground. Cracks spread across both Sloth's body and the Titan's newly formed arm.

The figure withdrew, its shattered arm reforming from liquid ink.

A crimson eye glowed.

Wings burst from its back. A tail extended. Ink poured from its body, revealing three glowing cores on its chest. Magic circuits flared red, and sharp spikes lined its spine.

It clenched its fists.

Its head emerged—adorned with long horns bearing the patterns of all three Titans.

It stared down Sloth.

The three had become one—reborn as a unified Titan.

Order stood tall atop its head.

"Time to show them your power," he said, pointing. "Go—Protector of Utopia."

The Titan let out a shriek that echoed all three voices, then charged.

Sloth reacted, stabbing with its horn.

The Titan dodged and retaliated with a powerful punch, knocking Sloth back.

Its arm shattered, then quickly reformed.

Surprised, the Titan looked at its arm—then grinned.

It pressed the assault, driving Sloth away from the altar with relentless punches.

Sloth could no longer bear it. It let out a thunderous roar, and as the sound echoed, everything within its range began to slow—sound, time, even motion itself dulled into a crawl.

Even Titan was no exception. The massive being stood frozen, as if the very concept of movement had abandoned it.

Seizing the chance, Sloth charged.

"It seems you forgot about me," came Order's voice.

Ink streams flowed across "Titan's" entire body, forming a seamless protective layer that clung tightly to its form.

With no space between the barrier and its skin, "Titan" was able to move freely, slipping past the effects of Sloth's slowing roar and dodging the attack.

It grabbed the horn, gears grinding, magic circuits flaring.

With immense strength, it hurled Sloth across the battlefield.

Hovering in place, the Titan stared down its enemy.

"Calculation complete," Order said.

He looked down.

"It's time to end this."

The Titan roared.

"Now then, follow my ink marks."

Order drew a guiding path through the air.

The Titan followed it—toward Sloth.

"And now, the main character takes the stage."

Then, Order soared toward Gluttony, releasing trails of ink that dissolved into the surrounding space as he moved.

At that moment, Gluttony was slowly devouring non-existence itself.

Just as it broke free and turned its hunger toward the surrounding knights, Order closed the distance.

Gluttony opened its gaping maw and lunged forward, aiming to consume him whole.

But this was part of the plan.

Order changed course at the last second.

Gluttony paused—only to realize too late something else was charging its way.

From within the space, the fading ink stains revealed Sloth surging forward—propelled by Titan, who was pushing it from behind with immense force.

Gluttony swallowed Sloth—but choked.

Sloth's body was too massive.

The Titan exchanged a glance with Order.

Order understood.

He slashed his pen—drawing thrusters across the Titan's body.

The Titan roared.

Its three cores flared. The thrusters ignited.

With all its power, it pushed Sloth deeper into Gluttony's mouth.

And then, success—Titan managed to push both itself and Sloth into Gluttony's gaping maw.

At first, Gluttony felt nothing. But slowly, its monstrous teeth began to crack.

Everything about it began to fade, unraveling piece by piece, as it tried to absorb Sloth—only to be forcefully repelled by Sloth's own dormant power.

Gluttony could do nothing but writhe and scream in vain… until even its last jagged tooth crumbled into nothingness.

Silence fell.

Only Order remained, floating above the battlefield, staring at the space where Gluttony had once loomed.

"…It's over," Order whispered wearily. "Thank you for your bravery… protector of Utopia."

With no time to mourn, Order turned and flew swiftly toward the altar—to aid the "King".

The battle had ended.

The Titans had made the ultimate sacrifice, forcing the Demon Lords to "digest" each other and vanish into oblivion.
