Chapter 226 - Prime War [V]

Facing an extraterrestrial threat, all factions of the mystic world, typically divided by internal conflicts and bloody rivalries, temporarily set aside their differences.

An unspoken truce was enforced for the survival of humanity.

While civilians carried on their peaceful routines, treating The Day of Silence as a global holiday, all supernatural practitioners operated in the shadows.

They meticulously and secretly prepared for the impending Prime War. This global cooperation involved numerous parties, from ancient organizations hidden behind history to modern mystic societies.

Their primary task was to prepare an optimal battlefield, ensuring the frontline warriors—the Campiones—could unleash their full power without restraint against the alien invasion.

Campiones—Godslayers—were the supreme rulers.

Having slain celestial beings, they could wield the divine powers once possessed by gods. Powers that transcended ordinary human understanding, capable of altering landscapes and manipulating reality.

A Campione is a sovereign.

Because the power to slay gods lies in their hands, they de facto rule over all humans on Earth. No institution, whether political or military, can match or control their absolute power.

A Campione is a Devil King.

Among all humans in the world, none can possess power comparable to theirs. They stand at the pinnacle of the supernatural food chain, beings capable of defeating gods and commanding the forces of nature and myth.

The Campiones, standing at the world's summit, rule over the unseen and supernatural with their strange and sometimes terrifying abilities. To ordinary humans, they are invisible guardians maintaining a fragile balance of power in the world.

However, their existence is also an unavoidable evil, as each is a tyrant.

One cannot defy the absolute authority of a Campione; they can only bow before it and hope for mercy if the Devil Kings' whims align favorably. The greatest mercy one might hope for from a Campione is a swift death or perhaps the loss of whatever valuables they possess.

Yet, thanks to the protection of Campiones in every era, dozens of Prime Wars in the past were won by humanity. Without their protection, humanity, whose technology lags far behind the Kur civilization, would not be at the top of the food chain today.

Earth might have long become an alien colony, with humans reduced to slaves—or worse, extinct.

Two days remained before The Day of Silence, August 31.

For those aware that The Day of Silence was a camouflage for the Prime War—among the eight Campiones of this era—their responses varied.

Except for Kusanagi Godou, who was restless and anxious about the upcoming Prime War, the other seven Campiones displayed different attitudes.

Marquis Voban seemed indifferent, as if the alien invasion was a minor nuisance.

Luo Hao dismissed it, brimming with confidence that no enemy in the universe could match her strength.

Salvatore Doni was ablaze with fighting spirit, welcoming the Prime War as a golden opportunity for the true battle he had long craved.

John Pluto Smith was apathetic, perhaps having faced such crises too often to feel any emotional stir.

Madam Aisha, whose whereabouts were always unknown, remained a mystery, her presence—or absence—in these preparations completely undetected.

And Rokuhara Ren himself? He continued his hedonistic lifestyle with glee.

In short, except for Godou, who still retained an ordinary person's mindset and was gripped by natural anxiety, the other Campiones weren't particularly concerned about the Prime War.

When the Prime War began, so be it. They just needed to fight—that was all.

No doubt and no fear.

For instance, Ren was currently spending time with his friend with benefits, Suou Yuki.

*PA!* *PA!* *PA!* *PA!* *PA!* *PA!*

The ceiling light illuminated every corner of the love hotel room, casting dancing shadows on the walls.

A sweet, musky aroma filled the air, mingling with the sounds of hurried breathing and stifled moans. On the large, disheveled bed, Ren gazed at Yuki, who seemed so uninhibited and free.

*PA!* *PA!* *PA!* *PA!* *PA!* *PA!*

With her hair disheveled, Yuki moaned. Her body twitched, letting every pleasure sear her mind. She closed her eyes, allowing the sensations to consume her.

"Deeper, Ren~ I want to feel… broken. Break me until nothing's left."

Ren observed her dilated pupils, reflecting his figure. A faint smile curved his lips as he fulfilled her request. Yuki responded with a long groan, her back arching, her fingers tightly clutching the sheets.

*PA!* *PA!* *PA!* *PA!* *PA!* *PA!*

"Ah… That's it…" Yuki gasped, her breath ragged. "Don't stop… Make me beg… Make me know my place…"

Sweat began to dampen Yuki's forehead, dripping into her hair. She writhed, her lips slightly parted, letting more primal sounds escape. The room trembled faintly with the increasingly intense rhythm.

"I… I surrender!" Yuki suddenly shrieked, her body trembling violently. "I can't hold it! Do whatever you want to me, Ren! Anything!"

*PA!* *PA!* *PA!* *PA!* *PA!* *PA!*

Each of Ren's movements was met with an overwhelming wave of sensation for Yuki. She didn't try to restrain herself, letting all emotions and feelings overflow freely. There was a strange satisfaction in her eyes, as if the suffering was a form of liberation.

"More… harder! I want to feel pain!" Yuki pleaded, her voice breaking amid stifled cries. "It feels… like I'm going to… shatter!"

*PA!* *PA!* *PA!* *PA!* *PA!* *PA!*

Ren could only shake his head faintly. The girl beneath him was indeed different.

He continued, fulfilling every desire Yuki voiced, without words, only actions.

*PA!* *PA!* *PA!* *PA!* *PA!* *PA!*

"No one can make me feel alive… like this." Yuki sighed, her voice barely audible.

*PA!* *PA!* *PA!* *PA!* *PA!* *PA!*

The two continued their passionate encounter like animals in mating season. Ren didn't stop even as Yuki repeatedly said she'd die, her voice choking between moans and cries. He pushed Yuki to her limits and beyond.

Only when Yuki was completely exhausted, her body trembling violently and unable to move, did Ren release his seed into her.

"Haah… Haah…"

Yuki lay helplessly on the bed, gasping for breath, her body twitching. Sweat soaked her entire body, her hair sticking to her face.

"Ren… that… was incredible." her voice was barely audible, hoarse and filled with satisfaction. A faint, almost imperceptible smile curved her lips. "I… I feel full…"

"Glad to hear it. I'll be going then."

Looking at Yuki sprawled powerlessly on the bed, Ren gathered his scattered clothes from the floor and dressed quickly.

"Leaving already? You're so cruel, Ren. Leaving the woman you just fucked." Yuki huffed, though a small smile played on her lips. "Don't you have a conscience? At least stay with me for a bit, right?"

Ren buttoned his shirt. "Yuki, don't forget our relationship. It's purely physical, no feelings involved. So, I don't need to invest my emotions in you."

"I know, don't take it seriously~" Yuki waved her hand weakly, unbothered by Ren's dismissal.

As he said, their relationship was friends with benefits.

"Then, I'm off." Ren glanced back briefly before heading to the door.

"Okay~ may your day be filled with bad luck, Ren~" Yuki's voice followed, accompanied by a hoarse chuckle, echoing in the love hotel room.
