Chapter 103 - The Fight Heats Up

"Delay? No, no, no! I'm here, he's here, and I want to fight right now! I don't care about the surroundings or anything. If I don't fight now, I'll go crazy from holding back! Come on, Ren, let's just start!" Doni said enthusiastically.

"..."

Ren didn't voice his opinion, as if agreeing with Doni without needing to say it. It wasn't that he had truly lost his sanity—he understood the consequences of this fight.

He didn't want to be constrained by petty rules. It was alright to worry about the lives of innocent bystanders, but if he had to think about not damaging the environment, not stepping on flowers, or not knocking down trees while fighting, then what was the point of fighting? He might as well go home and farm!

"Sigh..."

Seeing that the two men completely disregarded her words, Alice could only let out a long sigh. In her heart, she complained.

'No Campione is easy to persuade. Even King Ren, who usually seems like a normal person on ordinary days, once he's decided on something, nothing can change his mind.'

She opened her mouth, trying again. "Please, just give me ten minutes to evacuate everyone in Greenwich—"

However, before she could finish her sentence, Doni had already acted.

*DUSH!*

With a powerful kick against the ground, Doni's figure turned into a blurry shadow. In an instant, he leaped towards Ren.

"You're very impatient, Doni." Ren said with a small chuckle.

*SWISH!*

With a swift movement, he raised his leg and kicked hard towards Doni's stomach.

*DUG!*

The kick didn't hit Doni's stomach. With incredible reflexes, he twisted the long box in his hand to parry Ren's attack.

*SHUA!*

A loud impact sound echoed, and Doni's body was thrown back several meters. However, instead of pain, a joyful expression appeared on his face.

"Good! You're a martial artist like Luo Hao!" He exclaimed, his eyes sparkling with excitement.

In just a glance, Doni, with his experience as a swordsman, could see that Ren had a strong martial arts foundation, different from Godou who relied more on Divine Authorities in their previous duel.

"This is more fun than I imagined."

Then, he landed nimbly and prepared to attack again.

"..."

Perhaps infected by his opponent's fighting spirit, Ren began to awaken his own fighting desire, and his body moved.

The physical fight began!

A Campione's physical fitness far surpassed that of ordinary humans—five times stronger than even the greatest athletes. Their every movement was like a living storm, full of terrifying power and speed.

*WHOOSH!*

Doni lunged forward, unleashing a right punch aimed at Ren's face.

*BAM!*

His fist met air as Ren dodged agilely, then retaliated with a side kick aimed at Doni's waist.

*BAM!*

Doni blocked with his arm, but the force of the kick staggered him two steps back, leaving small cracks in the ground.

*BAM!* *BAM!* *BAM!* *BAM!*

The sound of their clashes was like a sledgehammer hitting iron, echoing through the Greenwich area.

"Not bad!" Doni shouted, then leaped into the air while twisting his body. His leg aimed at Ren's shoulder like an axe ready to chop down.

Ren didn't retreat—he caught Doni's leg with both hands, then twisted his body to throw Doni to the side.

*CRASH!*

Doni slammed into a nearby fence, shattering it into pieces, but he got up instantly while laughing.

"Hahaha! This is a fight!"

"..."

Ren didn't say much, only focusing on his next move. He shot forward, unleashing a series of rapid punches towards Doni's chest and face.

*BAM!* *BAM!* *BAM!* *BAM!*

Doni parried some, but one punch landed on his jaw, snapping his head to the side. A thin trickle of blood flowed from the corner of his lips, but it only made his smile wider.

"Cool! Again!" He exclaimed while retaliating with a low kick aimed at Ren's leg.

Ren jumped to avoid the attack, then landed with a back kick that hit Doni's shoulder.

*BOOM!*

Another loud thud echoed, and Doni was pushed back until he crashed into a small tree by the roadside.

The tree snapped with a loud crack, but Doni remained standing, holding his box tightly while grinning madly.

"I like this! You're getting me excited, Ren!"

In the distance, Alice watched with a frown. This fight had just begun, but the sidewalk was already cracked, the fence was destroyed, and a tree had fallen.

"This is really bad..."

*BAM!* *BAM!* *BAM!* *BAM!*

Doni was known as the best swordsman in the world, a title he held even before being reborn as a Campione; he had once killed a god with just his swordsmanship. Although often considered lacking in intelligence in matters outside of fighting, his eyes possessed extraordinary sharpness in capturing the details of his opponent's martial arts prowess. Moreover, he was highly skilled in unarmed combat, especially jujutsu.

After several minutes of exchanging punches and kicks with Ren, Doni began to adapt, and he changed his approach.

Stepping back for a moment, he avoided Ren's low kick, then lunged forward with a more directed movement. His hand caught Ren's arm as he unleashed a punch, and with a swift motion, Doni twisted his body to execute a jujutsu lock.

"...!!!"

Ren gasped, feeling his arm locked, and before he could react, Doni threw him to the ground with full force.

*BOOM!*

Ren's body slammed into the sidewalk, leaving a new, deeper crack. Dust flew up, but he immediately rolled and got back to his feet.

*SWISH!*

Doni didn't give him a break—he leaped forward, unleashing a straight kick towards Ren's chest.

*BAM!*

Ren parried with his arm, but the force of the kick pushed him back several steps, his feet leaving friction marks on the ground.

'Tsk, they say it's hard to distinguish a genius and a fool. But this Doni... he's a foolish genius.' He thought inwardly.

After this, Ren admired Doni whose fighting talent was truly extraordinary.

"Enough with the warm-up. Let's get serious. Let me show you how strong my sword is!" Doni's voice sounded even more excited.

Ren nodded, a small smile appearing on his face. "No problem! What a coincidence, I just acquired a Divine Authority related to swords. Doni, you're the perfect opponent to test it on."

"Hahaha... Glad to hear it!"

With a swift movement, Doni grabbed the long box he had been carrying on his shoulder. He opened it, revealing a sword and its scabbard inside. It was a standard knight's sword—more than eighty centimeters long, with a thick and sturdy double-edged blade.

At first glance, the sword looked ordinary. There was no magical aura emanating from it, no intricate carvings or supernatural gleam indicating extraordinary power. To an ordinary person, it was just a crude mass-produced weapon, something that could be found in a cheap souvenir shop. However, the sword was in Doni's hands—and that was what made it dangerous.

As Doni slowly drew the sword from its scabbard and gripped it tightly, something changed. The surrounding air became heavy, and a warning sign flashed in Ren's heart.

'Danger! If I'm not serious, I could die!' Ren's intuition screamed, and he never doubted his instincts as a Campione.

Although Doni was still smiling cheerfully, a deadly aura now emanated from him, like a tiger ready to pounce.

"Ren, draw your sword!"

Doni's expression remained relaxed, but his eyes flashed with terrifying intensity.

"Of course." Ren replied briefly.

*BUZZ*

The space around him fluctuated lightly as he reached into his magical storage dimension. In an instant, a sword appeared in his grasp—a replica of Excalibur, a weapon "borrowed" from the Witenagemot Magic Association. However, its condition was far from perfect. The blade was full of cracks, as if it could shatter at any moment with just a touch. Its light was dim, and the energy that should have radiated from the holy sword felt weak and almost extinguished.

"..."

Still watching from a distance, Alice widened her eyes. Although she had suspected the Excalibur replica was damaged, she hadn't expected the damage to be this bad.

"That's really in a pitiful state."

She could already imagine the expressions of the scholars at Witenagemot when they saw the condition of the Excalibur replica.
