When they reached the front of the entrance, seeing the commotion and crowd gathered before them, all of them frowned while Lin Fan squinted his eyes. But if one looked closely,
they could see that his eyes were sparkling deep inside, as though he had found something interesting to toy with. But one thing all of them had in mind was.
'What happened?'
It had to be something major to cause such a commotion in front of the college. As they walked forward to see what it actually was,
their eyes widened in astonishment while their faces were filled with disbelief.
"No way!"
"This can't be!"
"I am hallucinating, right?!"
Even Lin Fan was taken aback upon seeing the scene before him.
"What!"
Then he roared with laughter.
"Xiao, my brother. You truly know how to make yours only proud! I am just so happy right now. Yours only needs someone to troll and ragebait right now. But before that, let's celebrate your success. Truly, you made me proud, my brother."
He wiped the imaginary tears from his eyes as though he were watching his son grow up and looked at the others.
"Everyone, today is a great day. Our beloved Xiao has finally graduated from his status as a virgin and will soon get laid. So let us celebrate his success today as his friends. Let's arrange a party and surprise him later tonight."
Hearing his idea, everyone else also nodded.
"Okay."
"That's a good idea. I approve!"
"I also agree."
"Let's do this!"
While Xiao's friends were preparing a surprise party for him, the person in question was looking at Xi Hong kneeling in front of him as she held a diamond ring.
He was dazed as his mind went into overdrive from shock and overthinking. All sorts of wild and weird thoughts appeared in his mind as Xiao tried to justify her actions.
'Maybe she was bored, or she was just pulling a prank. Ah, yes, a prank. That must be it!'
But then he paused his thoughts as he thought.
'But wait! She is not that kind of person to pull a prank like this. From the Xi Hong I know, she would never joke about something this serious!'
Maybe because reality was simply too unbelievable for a person, Xiao was really finding it hard to believe that the woman of his dreams, and his first and only love, was proposing to him.
And that too, in broad daylight, in front of everybody. But maybe Xiao was too absorbed in his thoughts that he forgot to respond to Hong and her proposal.
This caused some of the men in the crowd, who were jealous of him, to become annoyed as they shouted.
"Hey, man! At least reply to her! How long are you going to keep us waiting in suspense?"
"That's true. How much more time do you need? Your woman has already proposed to you in public. Just accept it and get your happy ending."
"Yeah! Don't keep us waiting, goddammit."
Those voices brought Xiao out of his daze as he looked at Xi Hong.
She was still kneeling with her hand stretched out while holding the diamond ring.
Even though her eyes were calm as always, Xiao knew her better. She was slightly nervous while also eagerly waiting for his answer.
So Xiao took a deep breath as he closed his eyes. Then, opening them again, he looked Xi Hong directly in the eyes, smiled, and spoke.
"I agree."
There was a moment of silence between them, and the next moment the crowd erupted into applause, whistles, and congratulations.
But Xiao and Xi Hong ignored all of that. In their eyes, it was as though the world around them had faded into the background.
Only the two of them existed in each other's eyes. As Xiao slowly stretched out his hand, Xi Hong took the ring out of the box and gently placed it onto his ring finger.
Their eyes remained locked on each other.
Then, slowly, the gap between them disappeared as they continued staring into each other's eyes. Xi Hong suddenly wrapped her arms around Xiao's neck while Xiao held her waist.
Staring into each other's eyes, both of them remained silent.
Then suddenly Xi Hong leaned forward and whispered into Xiao's ear.
"You're mine~"
Her sweet voice assaulted his mind as Xiao shivered, and a chill ran down his spine. Because of the intensity with which Xi Hong was staring at him, her eyes darkened slightly when she said those words.
It really reminded him of something that he would rather not think about right now.
'Yandere! She's definitely a yandere! Dammit, how did I fall into the clutches of a yandere? Oh no, she was definitely not like this before. Where is my calm and smart Xi Hong? I am cooked.'
Thinking about all sorts of wild ideas regarding yanderes and what they normally do, cold sweat ran down Xiao's forehead.
'Dammit, I am really regretting my decision right now!'
While Xiao was thinking about all those things, Xi Hong smiled as she looked at his stunned and confused face.
She really found him being flustered cute. She wanted to tease him more, but she chose not to. Instead, she leaned forward and kissed him on the lips.
Xiao's eyes widened at this as he wanted to say something, but because they were kissing right now, he couldn't open his mouth.
Sighing and accepting his fate,
he returned the kiss as he hugged her tightly, while at the same time Xi Hong wrapped her arms around his neck.
The two continued like this while ignoring everything around them.
Many people around them cheered for them, while some took pictures and clapped for their successful proposal. After a few seconds, they separated while staring into each other's eyes.
Then Xiao coughed slightly as he spoke.
"Let's go to a quiet place nearby. We have many things to talk about."
Xi Hong nodded.
"Alright."
Then both of them got into his car and drove to a nearby café.
After that, Xiao finally learned from her why she had suddenly left the hospital without giving him any way to contact or communicate with her.
