After Noas's breakdown, everything felt wrong.
It happened so fast that Micah barely had time to react. One moment, they were dining in the restaurant, the next moment, Noas was screaming, eyes bloodshot, voice tearing apart the quiet room.
Aidan and Archie moved at the same time, each grabbing an arm as Noas struggled.
"You think you're real?" Noas had laughed hysterically, tears streaking down his face. "You're all just a character. Every single one of you. What right do you have to trap me here?"
Before Micah could say anything, before he could even fully process the words, Nabil Lobart had rushed in. "Noas!" He grabbed his younger brother from those two. "That's enough. Stop it."
But Noas didn't stop.
Micah still remembered how Noas had twisted around before being dragged out, fingers clawing at the air, gaze locking onto Micah with terrifying clarity.
