Chapter 7 - Chapter 07

Vegeta landed at his destination site with a slight hint of anxiety filling him.

What had Whis done in this place? Why here, in particular? Would he really run into a replica of the Capsule Corp?

The answer was... no.

Nothing.

Literally.

There was nothing on the site but a large house residing in a prime area, spacious and away from prying eyes.

A perfect place to train without being disturbed.

The gate's lock was ignored by his flight, and that of the house was opened by his Scroll. Inside the house, nothing again. There were no pictures, no mementos, and nothing that could remind him of his former home.

Whis was bold, but not stupid. The angel knew the limit he could force Vegeta to without awakening his fury and earning his resentment.

However, he was waiting for something.

For anything...

Damn it, Whis... Vegeta stroked his face and sighed, not knowing what to do. What is this that I feel? Disappointment?

Deep down, perhaps, he had hoped to walk through that door and see Bulma and Trunks there. Even now, after hearing from the mouths of several magical entities that there was nothing they could do to help, he still had a shred of hope that Whis could pull another absurd trick out of that staff and... bring them back.

How foolish I am! Bulma wouldn't come back, nor would his son, and Vegeta needed to accept that reality. And move on...

Words that were used to give him perspective. However, there was only one path to follow:

That of revenge.

Without drowning anymore in these thoughts that could corrupt his energy and demotivate him, Vegeta unpacked his bags in the main room of this two-floor house and put on a light outfit consisting of a pair of gray sports pants and another tank top of a similar color.

He then went to the kitchen to get some more food as his appetite remained, and there he found a large note on the fridge door.

"Dear Vegeta, I hope I haven't disappointed you in this world," he read that message and didn't know what to say about it, preferring to continue. "I know what you are thinking, and I apologize if I have given you any sense of hope..." Vegeta stopped reading as his teeth clenched, and he needed to take a deep breath. Whis is not to blame for anything, he is only trying to help. He needed to remember that. "In this house, I've made some adjustments, including a discreet barrier that prevents your energy from being felt outside the boundaries of the property, to avoid problems while you train." Vegeta could only imagine what kind of trouble he would have when there was almost no one in the universe capable of giving him a fight. Whatever, he didn't care. "Also, there are two more additions, with one of them being a very special little plant from your planet." At this, Vegeta looked around, and on the table was something that didn't seem to be a big deal, but soon made his eyes widen to the limit. "No way..."

He checked more closely and was sure he wasn't seeing things.

A plant with Sensu Beans!

"Where the hell did Whis get this from?!" Vegeta thought there was only one of those! Then something occurred to him when he remembered who was behind it. "Why am I surprised?" It was even stupid to react like this after all the insanities that Angel has ever done, which included manipulating the time of an entire multiverse. "This must have been nothing to him, but for me..."

It was simply priceless.

It even had some beans ready to harvest, and he would remember to feed this plant with his own energy or whatever was needed.

"What else do you have for me, Whis?" Slowly, Vegeta was forgiving this mentor of his for violating his physical integrity and stirring up so many emotions within him by sending him to this planet that looked so much like Earth. "Last but not least, there is a special room in this house that you know very well..." Vegeta took a second to understand what this was about before he disappeared without even finishing reading, going from door to door of this absurdly large house to find what he was looking for in seconds in the basement and encountering a dimension that seemed to have no end. "The room of spirit and time..."

Vegeta could hardly believe his eyes.

"Just how..." he stopped there, knowing full well the answer. "Again, even this must not have been too hard."

One wave of that staff, and almost anything could happen.

"Except," Vegeta paid more attention to his endless surroundings, "this is not the same room I know."

The clear difference was in the smaller temple at the entrance to the room.

The note in hand would certainly clarify everything if he were more patient.

"As you may have noticed, this is not the same room as on Earth, so it doesn't happen that you and...that person run into each other." Vegeta was grateful about that, and at the same time, it made him uncomfortable. The mere possibility of the clown using the room to train would increase the already existing gap in power between them. "The basics of any transformation obtained is to stay in it as long as possible to decrease stamina consumption, so it wouldn't be strange for Kakarot to do the same with Ultra Instinct now that he can access the form at will."

Resulting in an absurd increase in power after the transformation was fully mastered.

Such a reality reminded him of how much he needed to get stronger.

So this room would be just what he needed to level the playing field a bit.

Or it should.

"One thing though, Vegeta, to disappoint you a little." He already knew there was something wrong with this, considering what Whis had said about not letting him throw his recovered time away again in the Lookout. "One day outside equals three inside..." All of Vegeta's spirits nearly vanished at that revelation. "I should have known, it was too good to be true."

Still, it was better than nothing, especially given what Whis said next.

"To make up for it, this room has no time limit for use." With that, Vegeta could make one year turn into three, which helped a lot already. However, Whis had more to say, "But I believe you won't abuse this and live in there...Bulma wouldn't want that." Vegeta almost crushed the paper in his hands from knowing that it was true. "Don't make me regret helping you."

That was all that was written, and Vegeta could do nothing but stare at the endless horizon, conflicted about what to do.

Every fiber of his being wanted to close that door and not come out again until he had completely surpassed the power Kakarot had demonstrated in the fight against Moro, but... He couldn't, not after he had agreed to and accepted Bulma's gift.

All right, Whis. You won. Vegeta wouldn't abuse this room, not before he got his hands on the power of his soul. After that, I make no promises.

It would all depend on how much that power could strengthen him.

If it turned out to be a disappointment, he would focus on Hakai and use that room until he got the power of a God of Destruction.

Back in the kitchen, he ate something until he was satisfied and went to the yard to get ready to start his training.

A decent place. Vegeta would appreciate that much of the choice Whis made. After settling on Earth, he came to prefer closed places with abnormal effects, such as the Lookout and the gravity room. After Yardrat, nature also proved to be a decent place with its own benefits. In the past, trees were only meant to be burned, landscapes to be destroyed, and animals to become food.

Things really did change with time, only as he himself had done.

In this place that Whis had prepared, it was basically a forest with a lake and a greenish yard.

While nature had its uses, so would technology.

In his hands, Vegeta reluctantly held the capsule that represented his late wife's last work, dedicated especially to him after countless selfish requests, but which she was more than accustomed to complying with to please him, even if it meant spending less time together.

With some regret, Vegeta chose a free area on the side of the house to release this new gravity room in the form of a thirty-square-meter dome and a new limit of ten thousand times that of Earth's gravity.

The safe limit without creating a singularity that could end up like that of a black hole.

How would Bulma feel knowing that I will use her work to help me kill her oldest friend? Vegeta didn't care about the answer. He had done it before and knew full well how she felt about it. However, nothing would stop him, not even if Bulma returned and begged him. Kakarot was a threat to everything that existed and would remain so until he was destroyed in body and soul. This must be done, no matter what.

Exactly why he learned the Hakai.

Destroying Kakarot was his motivation throughout his training with Lord Beerus.

With this being established with no turning back, Vegeta entered the gravity chamber and raised his base power to the limit with such control that it didn't affect a blade of grass in the surrounding environment.

The gravity counter went to the limit, and the torturous pressure came upon him. Vegeta smiled with this familiar feeling, almost like the first time he made use of this technology to aid in his training. His knees were against the floor, and his lungs begged for the almost non-existent oxygen, creating just the right environment for him.

Great. It had been a while since gravity could affect him without having to decrease his base power or needing auxiliary weights. With this. He stood upright as drops of sweat were literally wiped from his skin. I can explore my limits without the need to transform!

Strengthening the base form also strengthened his transformations.

Until I'm sure that this Aura can be useful to me, I will keep training as I always have! Vegeta was aware of the limits of this kind of training and that it was practically impossible to surpass Kakarot in this way. But it doesn't matter.

Standing still and thinking about alternatives and possibilities wouldn't help either.

Kakarot might be an idiot, but he wasn't stupid... if that made any sense. The clown was stronger and even more talented, but he was certainly aware that Vegeta could always close the gap between them, no matter how long it took.

Getting complacent and taking training lightly would be the same as digging his own grave, so Kakarot would train and definitely become much stronger than he was when he fought Moro.

That's why I need to train much harder than he does! Vegeta would submit to hell if he had to! Until those girls arrive, let's get started!

White flames burned, and fists tore through the pressurized air.

Vegeta wouldn't only get his revenge, he would regain his honor as a Saiyan prince and pride by killing his old enemy, who had become a friend before achieving the feat of climbing to the rank of an archenemy even greater than Freeza!

Or he would die trying.

-----

Team RWBY's return to Beacon was quieter than expected. Each and every unexpected event that happened on this little outing kept them immersed in their respective reflections that extended into the afternoon classes.

Weiss, for the first time, could not pay attention to Professor Port's practically redundant lecture. At least, unlike Yang, she could fake it as well as Blake. As for her partner, she was... drawing? Regardless, what Vegeta demonstrated, the possibilities of this offered door and achievements whose "Ki" could help obtain, were immeasurable and tempting.

Yang's distraction was motivated primarily by disappointment with her attitude and how she could change for the better... probably. As for Blake, Weiss had no idea what was going on in that head of hers and didn't even know if she wanted to know. Vegeta opened wounds on these two, as well as giving them the opportunity to heal themselves without leaving scars behind.

They have a lot on their minds. Luckily, Weiss had already received her ear pulling before she met Vegeta, or else she too would have been rejected most unpleasantly. That leaves Ruby and me in the running.

Without needing to question, Weiss was sure that her partner would agree to accept the teachings of that mysterious prince.

After all, the possibility of flying is on the table, and who wouldn't want that? Weiss could only imagine herself flying and how much fun such an experience would be. Not to mention the applications that such power would have for a Huntress.

Besides flying, there was physical strengthening to unprecedented levels, telekinesis, and energy projection that seemed to be as effective as Dust.

All this together was insane, and one could understand why this was an unknown power. Just imagine the damage that a member of White Fang, or any other criminal organization, could cause if they got their hands on this kind of power.

It could change the world both for the better and for the worse.

"Think carefully about what you've been offered, because believe me when I say it's a unique opportunity that will change your lives and this world forever," The prince's last words still rang out for her, serving as confirmation and creating other doubts. What did he mean by "this" world? Surely it must have been a way of saying that the world as they knew it would change, right? Still, Weiss wasn't sure. After all, he claimed to be the Prince of the most powerful warrior race.

Such a claim resulted in nothing when researched in her Scroll, and Weiss hated to remotely cogitate that there are other inhabited planets out there and that Vegeta was not from Remnant. It just created another theory as insane as those discussed earlier.

"Miss Xiao Long!"

Professor Port was calling out, and Weiss could see the displeasure at having his magnificent story ignored so openly like that.

Practically everyone in the room was doing so, but Yang stood out in this sea of dismay.

"Hmm?" Yang left her daydream land, lost in what had happened earlier, and not even paying attention to who was disturbing her, "What?"

"Pay attention in class, young lady!" Besides ignoring him, she was still answering so casually! She is just like her father!

"Ahh, yes. Sorry, he, he..." Yang finally noticed that it was the teacher who was speaking, and the gazes focused on her; each of them possessed some sort of silent gratitude for the interrupted class. No one can blame them, those stories are worse than a hangover!

Like a blessing from heaven, the bell rang, and happiness filled the sleepy and mentally exhausted students.

"Well, I guess that's it for today." Professor Port couldn't do anything else, so he would have to settle for a small punishment. "Miss Xiao Long, I want a summary of today's class ready for the next one."

Dang! Just when Yang thought she had dodged the bullet!

"Good luck!" Nora waved goodbye as she dragged Ren to the cafeteria. "Pancakes!"

"Nora, it's not long until dinner." Ren would have to serve her plate again, or else she would eat only sugar.

"Ohh, no syrup then?"

"No pancakes either."

"Unfair!" Ren was being mean, and Nora didn't dislike it~

"Too bad, Yang. You should have faked it better." Jaune would know since he was a master at that art. "I doubt anyone took any notes."

"I did!" Pyrrha had her notes in hand, offering them willingly. "Take your time!"

"Wow, thanks!" Really, the girl could hit like a monster, but she was a lifesaver nonetheless! "I was going to ask Weiss, but..."

"I wasn't going to lend it to you." Weiss wouldn't encourage this kind of behavior and was disappointed with Pyrrha for doing so. That is not the example a champion should give.

Well, she didn't write anything down either, but this was an isolated incident, very different from Yang's everyday life.

"Right, because I can always count on you, Weiss," Yang couldn't be more sarcastic in her tone. Wait until you're asleep, then we'll see who will be without their class notes!

"Always happy not to help." Weiss would remember hiding her notebooks, underwear, and beauty products. Yang's smile and lack of nicknames indicated a storm to come. Maybe I shouldn't even sleep tonight...

Every care was too little for this childish girl.

With the students leaving one by one, only Team RWBY remained.

"So, what happened, Yang? You usually manage to sleep in class without getting caught." Blake regained the lost focus of the conversation, having some idea of the reason for her partner's daydreams. The same as mine.

Hardly anyone wouldn't if they were scolded by an all-powerful stranger.

"Hmph, and do you need to ask?" Weiss was sure it was a rhetorical question, but would give an answer just for the opportunity to reciprocate the taunts received. "It must be about Vegeta."

They all were, but Yang tended to be... sinful about her thoughts.

"You mean that man ripped like a log that just flew off? Nah, why would I be thinking of something so normal?" Sometimes Weiss asked to have her Shampoo mixed with toothpaste, and Yang would still have that honor one day. Lucky for her that I don't want to be frozen in my sleep, or else...

Imagining these pending jokes brought her peace of mind.

"Yes!" Ruby stopped drawing, remembering that moment clearly, and was looking forward to seeing it again! "That was amazing! He looked like he was on fire and shot up into the sky so fast! I think he's faster than a Bullhead!"

Compared to the transport ships, Vegeta was insanely faster; there was no comparison to be made.

"Vegeta is not normal," Blake agreed, even more so with her instincts screaming when she saw him. "Although this kind of energy manipulation is extremely rare, that Aura of his was vast enough to be projected so intensely."

"I can do that too." Not so casually, but Yang found it relevant to remember that fact.

"Of course you can." Weiss watched Vegeta fly off without even trying. As for Yang, she had to be angry and have been beaten up to show anything remotely similar.

"Okay, what is that supposed to mean?" Yang showed red eyes, challenging Weiss to continue provoking.

"Exactly what I said." Weiss was correct, and this attitude proved her and Vegeta's point. It seems that she hasn't learned a thing!

This girl should just say goodbye to any chance of learning under the prince's tutelage.

"This isn't going anywhere." Blake stopped a possible fight before it started, trying to keep everyone calm. "Let's just decide on what happens next. Those doubts can be resolved later when we meet him again."

"So you guys are coming with us?!" Ruby was glad that Blake helped; otherwise, these two might really end up fighting!

"Obviously, even if he didn't want to train me, there's no way I'd let you go there without me." Yang would die first before letting her little sister go alone into the house of a dangerous man like that.

"You two have no notion of the danger." Weiss was expecting this from Yang, but Blake? She was supposed to be the most reasonable of the group, after herself, of course. So, siding with the temperamental girl made no sense, and she regretted that she considered herself lucky to have good teammates. "He's not going to like that at all."

"You say that, but you had also said you liked him," Blake reminded, practically putting Weiss against the wall. Too subtle?

Like a grenade of Dust.

"Don't tell me?" Yang smiled, enjoying being the one to poke an open wound this time. "Maybe that's why you don't want us to go along? To have less competition~"

"Weiss is a Tsundere!" Ruby loved that kind of character! How I didn't realize this before?!

It was so obvious!

"First, I don't know what that means, and I doubt it's a good thing. So, no, I'm not one," Weiss discouraged her immature leader and turned to the new biggest threat to her health. "As for what I said earlier, it was about his attitude in barring your advances and your failed attempt at seduction!"

"So you're saying you could have done better?" Yang was unfazed, returning the teasing where it hurt the most. "With that little body of yours?"

Actually, the little princess had done better than she had, but Yang would never admit defeat.

"My proportions are appropriate for my stature!" If there was one thing Weiss didn't envy, it was those sinful piles of fat that Yang called breasts! "And I would definitely do better! Behaving like a proper lady!"

"Sure, because every lady acts exactly like you~" Seriously, this girl was hysterical when she was angry, and how Vegeta seemed to have enjoyed that was beyond her.

Yang almost regretted teasing her earlier.

"Why you?!" Weiss was about to show how a princess kick a slut's ass when her teammate intervened.

"Should we test it then?" Blake had just the right idea to put an end to this discussion, have fun, and get some... interesting material to write. "Who can win over him first?"

"Like what, a competition?" Yang was listening, but uncertain about the whole thing.

That prince had barely paid any attention to her!

"You can't be serious." Weiss shouldn't have responded to those damn provocations.

"Why not?" Blake feigned ignorance. "You just said you could do better."

"That's not it!" Could it be that no one else saw how far they were getting from the original topic as Weiss did?!

"Weiss is right," Yang earned one look more incredulous than the other for her words, but she ignored them all. "It won't be funny if it's just the two of us, so Blake should join in too!"

She was no fool and could see what her partner was playing here.

Too bad, Blake! I'm the queen of pranks, and you can't beat me! A questionable quality to be proud of, but one that Yang would maintain until her last breath.

"Wait a minute, what?" Blake backed away, not expecting to be pulled into all this.

"You said yourself he was an interesting guy!" Yang pressed, imagining that Blake in this mix would make it all much more fun.

"Yeah, but..." Blake wouldn't deny her own words, but she wasn't sure what to think about Vegeta. He was kind of her type, being mature, serious, and intimidating to the point of being exciting, but there was also a good chance he was a human, and hardly anything good would come out of that.

"Me, me!" Ruby didn't want to be left out! "I want to participate too!"

"Definitely not!" Yang and Weiss both cut the agitated girl off.

"Why not?!" Ruby sulked, not liking being left out at all! "I'm the leader, so I should participate in any activity that involves the team! Besides, he's only going to train Weiss and me!"

"Trying to seduce a hot guy just for fun doesn't involve the team, dammit!" after hearing her own words, Yang was beginning to see that there was something really wrong with this whole situation.

"He's not even that good-looking," Weiss said without thinking, but that wasn't quite the truth. Vegeta was... different. He had a noble air and polished behavior, quite different from his manly, defined, and... Wait! What am I thinking about?!

The last thing she needed now was to start acting like Yang!

"Heh~" Yang smiled wickedly and was even more excited when she saw the princess start to regret opening her mouth. "I said hot, not good-looking. I wonder if the little princess has a thing for older, muscular, and bad men."

"S-Shut up! You were the one dreaming about him, not me!" Weiss tried not to let herself be shaken, but her mind betrayed her, and the blush on her skin was visible. No! Damn the time I got carried away and focused on those big, muscular arms... Stop thinking about it!

Without realizing it, Weiss had already begun to descend to the level of the one person she didn't want to be remotely like!

Satisfied to start a war on that picky little head, Yang wanted to address the unresolved issue, but her little sister seemed to have her own doubts.

"I don't understand, why is he a man and not a guy?" Ruby pondered, half late in the conversation. All her classmates were guys, but they only referred to Vegeta as men?

"Well, Dad, Uncle Qrow, and Vegeta are men, and a guy is like..." Yang thought about it, but incredibly, it was Weiss who gave an answer.

"Jaune," she defined the term, certain that no one could refute it.

Poor Jaune, he never had a chance, Yang and Blake thought at the same time, agreeing with this almost mean answer.

"I still don't understand." Other than their age, Ruby couldn't see any difference between them. I guess it must be about power? Clearly, her father, uncle, and Vegeta were much stronger than Jaune... and they looked more adult? Ohh!

"Good, keep thinking like that until you're thirty." Yang was sure Ruby wasn't that innocent, but it didn't hurt to dream. Although liking weapons more than boys might be a problem...

"Can we focus, please!" Weiss wasn't interested in debating Ruby's naivety, but rather in what they would do later.

"Of course you want to focus~" Yang would never get tired of this.

"Okay, Yang, enough. Weiss is right." Blake needed to be the voice of reason and act with calm and maturity with these two. "Vegeta is not normal, and that's exactly why we can't let only half the team go. Even you, Yang, an Aura user specialized in physical strength and with a Semblance based on it to back you up, couldn't even move his arm out of place. Not only that, he can fly off and disappear in the blink of an eye."

"Your point is?" Yang knew all that but still failed to see the problem.

"Probably that if he wants to, he could... he could..." Weiss was having trouble finding the words and even imagining that Vegeta could do something like that. No, he is not that kind of man.

If he were, he would have fallen for Yang's flirting or tried something with one of them instead of making some dangerous displays of power.

"Taking advantage of us by force," Blake concluded. Being a former member of White Fang, she had met a lot of bad people when the organization became a hate group and started recruiting all kinds of questionable people, mostly men, and they tended to be... lustful.

All it took was to combine a bad personality with the power necessary to bring their fantasies to life, and one of a woman's greatest fears would become real.

Yang was silent, reflecting on that. In the past, she had had some pretty bad experiences. Being as she was, at some point in her second year at Signal, she got a Stalker. A pretty bold one at that. It wasn't long before he tried something with her and got his ass kicked. However, that was where the point made by Blake made sense.

What would have happened if Yang weren't strong enough to defend herself? The mere thought of that possibility was frightening and made her hesitate about everything discussed so far.

Letting her sister go there was beginning to be out of the question. To tell the truth, she didn't even want to let Weiss go, and she didn't even like the girl that much.

"I don't think any of that would happen." Ruby might not be the brightest star when it came to boys and romance, but even she knew a little. "Vegeta might not be a super cool prince, wearing gold armor and carrying a silver sword, but he never showed... malice? Even with all of Yang's teasing and intrusion from us, he was the only one to remain calm, like an adult. And above all!" She took a moment of silence during her speech, adding a suspense effect and proudly declaring, "He bought me ice cream! So there's no way someone like that could be bad!"

Her colleagues wanted to say that paying something for a girl was the oldest trick in the book, but they preferred to refrain and not destroy this girl's illusion. In the end, most of the words spoken by the young leader made sense and were true.

A man was responsible and acted with maturity. When provoked by teenagers, he stood as one, and although he had said some dangerous things about killing, it was only to establish the level of danger of what was requested.

Maybe I'm overthinking it... Blake always expected the worst from people, almost like Weiss did before, regarding the faunus. In the end, it seems that I, too, have some prejudice.

There was a chance that Vegeta was a faunus, but it was unlikely. In that case, the image of a human remained along with the values held with a life of hardship, and Blake would have to rethink some more things.

I should know. Weiss felt stupid for allowing herself to be influenced. She was more than capable of creating her own opinion without being biased and sticking to it. That smile at the end, something he showed to me despite everything I said...didn't seem like the kind of reaction someone bad would have shown.

That was a moment of understanding amid discord and... something unique.

Damn, my little sister is getting good at these speeches. Yang wanted to disagree, but she couldn't. After all, Vegeta was the first one to not eat out of her hand and to teach her a lesson about her greatest weakness. Looks like I'm going to have to work on improving my control.

Either she does, or she could say goodbye to any chance of convincing the prince to train her.

"Wait!" Something clicked, and Yang focused on her little sister. "Did you understand what we were talking about?"

This would be the biggest surprise so far.

"Hmm, not everything, but Dad and Uncle Qrow taught me some things!" Ruby stated, glad to finally be part of the conversation. Maybe I should learn more about boys! Or men?

This was still a bit confusing to her. Still, it wouldn't be in vain, considering that most of the girls' conversations were about boys and vice versa.

"Did they now? Like what?" Yang was unaware of this, feeling a mixture of relief and concern that Ruby might possibly have had that conversation. What should I do about it? Hit them where it hurts for contributing to her corruption?

Ruby pumped her chest and put her hands on her waist, declaring:

"Where to kick if anyone tries to touch me!" She was proud that she had received a gold star in her training! "And I'm very good at it!"

Of all the things Ruby could have learned, those teachings couldn't be more suitable for her. Without knowing it, all three of them followed the proud girl with a smile for having this questionable ability.

"Yeah, that's definitely something every woman should know." Yang changed her mind, deciding not to confront her father and uncle, as she herself learned to do the same under their tutelage. It's almost a tradition at this point.

"There are more civilized ways." Weiss would hardly stoop to such a level, but smiled nonetheless. "However, that is definitely an effective one."

"No joke." Blake had done that herself a few times in the past. Despite the prejudice, when younger and doing her protesting, she always had a few humans try their luck with her. And every one of them will think twice before trying something like that with another girl.

"See, there's nothing to be afraid of!" Ruby would kick anyone who tried! Even if that someone was the prince exterminator from the future!

"Vegeta doesn't seem like that kind of guy. Except that it doesn't change the fact that he said for only two people to show up." That was the point Weiss wanted to have addressed earlier. "You can't know what kind of reaction he's going to have to that."

"Actually, he didn't say anything about the number of people, only about who he would tutor." Yang would tone down the jokes...for the moment, acknowledging the princess's concern. "Then I don't see a problem."

"That's... true." Vegeta hadn't said anything specific, Weiss just assumed that was the case. "Then, we all can and should go together."

Maybe it was better this way, so there was less chance of anything bad happening, however unlikely.

"All right then!" Ruby took the lead and marched for another trip to Vale. "Team RWBY, let's go!"

"Oww!" Yang punched the air next to Ruby and was the only one to do so. Her partner and the princess just pretended they weren't part of the team. "You two are no fun."

"Thank you." Weiss would consider that a compliment.

Blake preferred to focus on her notes and the ones to be made, as she would certainly have some very exciting material soon enough.
