Uncle Carlos's grip on the phone tightened, his eyes widening in disbelief.
"Say that again!!"
"Dad," Ramsey replied, already anticipating his father's shock.
Ramsey huckled mercilessly.
"You're not even that old yet—how's your hearing already failing?"
"You little brat!"
Uncle Carlos raised his voice, lacing it with a hint of threat.
"I don't have the patience for your nonsense right now.
Repeat what you just said, or I'll send someone to beat you up immediately."
Ramsey: "..." "Alright, godfather, listen carefully this time," he said, deliberately slowing his speech as if worried Uncle Carlos might miss it.
"Madame... is... pregnant!!"
Uncle Carlos had long stopped dwelling on whether the child was biologically his or not.
