The warm glow of the morning sun seeped through the window, cascading beautifully over the polished wooden floors of Aric's room.
The light shined to the bed to wake up the person that was supposed to be sleeping on it, but he wasn't there. Rather, he was already outside, standing with Ariel and Elisa.
"Where is Pentharis?" Aric asked, tapping his feet on the ground in an impatient manner.
"There's no need to rush, right?" Elisa asked.
"There is, actually. If Aric stays out for too long, someone will come and meet him to ask for this or that, and he'll get pulled into work, especially now that a lot is going on," Ariel explained. She looked around to see if she could find Pentharis.
After a while, Pentharis came running in their direction. He caught up to them and greeted, "Good morning," he said in an unusually happy tone.
"What's got you giddy and why are you late?" Aric asked.
