Chapter 136 - EPISODE 136 — "The Silent Witness"

BLACK SQUAD: EPISODE 136 — "The Silent Witness"

---

SCENE 1 — THE MYSTERY BEGINS

EXT. MUMBAI – ABANDONED WAREHOUSE – NIGHT

Visuals & Setting:

The scene opens in the dead of night. An eerie fog rolls across the city streets, and the headlights of a Black Squad vehicle cut through the haze as it pulls up outside an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of Mumbai. The warehouse looks decrepit, with broken windows and graffiti scrawled on the walls. Police tape is already surrounding the entrance, and officers are stationed outside.

ACP VIJAY KUMAR (getting out of the car):

"Keep it tight. We don't know what we're dealing with inside."

ACP Vijay Kumar leads the way, and the team follows. Zoya and Shreya exchange glances, aware that the atmosphere feels wrong.

SCENE 2 — THE UNSOLVED CASE

INT. WAREHOUSE – NIGHT

Setting:

The team enters the dark warehouse, the only light coming from their flashlights. The place is filled with dust, crates, and old machinery. A body is discovered in the corner, slumped against a stack of boxes. It's a young man, his hands bound behind his back and a rag stuffed in his mouth. He's been shot once in the head.

As the team investigates, they find an unsettling detail: there are no signs of struggle, no blood trail leading to or from the body. It looks almost like the victim was placed there, and everything around him is eerily clean.

Zoya (examining the body):

"The victim... It doesn't look like he fought back. Almost like he was waiting for it to happen."

ACP VIJAY KUMAR (calmly):

"Check his pockets. Let's see if we can identify who he was."

Zoya pulls out a small notebook from the victim's pocket. It's filled with random scribbles, but there's one name that stands out: "Nisha Patel."

---

SCENE 3 — THE SEARCH FOR THE WITNESS

INT. BLACK SQUAD BUREAU – DAY

Setting:

The investigation shifts back to the Black Squad Bureau. The team is gathered around the conference table, the name "Nisha Patel" in front of them. Dr. Gupta is analyzing the victim's bloodwork while the rest of the team delves into the mysterious notebook.

DR. GUPTA (studying the bloodwork):

"The victim died from a single gunshot wound. No defensive wounds. This was someone who knew the killer."

Shreya (to ACP Vijay):

"The name 'Nisha Patel' keeps popping up in various police records. It's linked to a witness in an ongoing case involving a missing person. But there's something odd. No one has heard from her in weeks."

ACP VIJAY KUMAR (thinking):

"Could be more than just a coincidence. We need to find this Nisha Patel. She might know something about this."

---

SCENE 4 — THE HUNT FOR NISHA

EXT. MUMBAI – NISHA PATEL'S LAST KNOWN LOCATION – DAY

Setting:

The Black Squad team arrives at a quiet, residential area. The building where Nisha Patel was last seen is an old apartment complex. They knock on doors, and a few residents speak to them, offering little information. But one old woman points them in the direction of a local café where Nisha was last known to work.

Zoya (to a resident):

"Did you see Nisha Patel recently?"

RESIDENT (shaking her head):

"I haven't seen her for weeks. But I remember her mentioning something about a 'dangerous person' following her around."

---

SCENE 5 — THE MISSING LINK

INT. LOCAL CAFÉ – DAY

Setting:

The team walks into a small, unassuming café. The interior is cozy, with a few patrons scattered around. The owner recognizes Nisha's name instantly and mentions that she quit suddenly a few weeks ago, saying she was being followed and feared for her life.

CAFÉ OWNER (nervously):

"She started acting strange. Kept looking over her shoulder. I think someone was threatening her."

ACP VIJAY KUMAR (intensely):

"Did she leave anything behind? Anything unusual?"

The café owner points to a small stack of personal items in a box behind the counter. Zoya approaches and begins to sift through it. Among the items, she finds a strange photo—an old picture of Nisha with a man who looks unfamiliar.

Zoya (to herself):

"This looks like the same guy from the warehouse. Could it be...?"

---

SCENE 6 — THE KILLER'S IDENTITY

INT. BLACK SQUAD BUREAU – LATE NIGHT

Setting:

Back at the Bureau, the team begins to piece together the clues. Using facial recognition software, they identify the man in the photo—he's a known criminal from a few years ago, involved in a string of violent robberies. His name is Raghav Mehra. He was thought to be dead after a firefight with police years ago.

Zoya (connecting the dots):

"Raghav Mehra. He was involved in a series of armed robberies. But if he's alive, that means he's been lying low all this time. And now, he's back."

ACP VIJAY KUMAR (sharply):

"We're dealing with someone who's resurged from the past, and he's playing a dangerous game. We need to find Nisha before he does."

---

SCENE 7 — THE STANDOFF

EXT. MUMBAI – ABANDONED FACTORY – NIGHT

Setting:

The final confrontation takes place in an old factory on the edge of the city. The team has tracked Raghav Mehra to this location, but Nisha is nowhere to be found. The factory is dark, and echoes of footsteps reverberate throughout the structure.

The team moves in cautiously, ACP Vijay at the front. Suddenly, a figure appears in the shadows—it's Raghav Mehra, holding Nisha at gunpoint.

RAGHAV MEHRA (coldly):

"You've been following me too long, Vijay. You should have stayed out of it."

ACP VIJAY KUMAR (stepping forward):

"Let her go, Raghav. We're not here for a fight."

The standoff is tense, but ACP Vijay's calm demeanor starts to break through Raghav's anger. After a tense moment, the sound of police reinforcements outside causes Raghav to hesitate. This split second of doubt allows Zoya to disarm him, and he's taken into custody.

Zoya (to Nisha, gently):

"You're safe now."

---

SCENE 8 — CLOSING MOMENTS

INT. BLACK SQUAD BUREAU – DAWN

Setting:

The team regroups in the Bureau as dawn breaks. The case is closed, and the sense of relief is palpable.

ACP VIJAY KUMAR (looking out the window):

"Another one finished. But something tells me that we haven't seen the last of Raghav Mehra. People like him… they never stay down for long."

The camera lingers on his face as he turns away, determination in his eyes.
