The air inside the village was so fresh it was unbelievable. There was no the familiar rotten stench of zombies or the suffocating impurities caused by years of industrial pollution.
What was even more unbelievable was the scene of children playing and running around as if life was completely normal.
There were adults moving about as well. Some were tending to vegetables in gardens, others were washing clothes, and others were just sitting around talking to each other.
Old men sat down under a tree near the village entrance playing Chinese chess. There were a dozen old ladies dancing in a small square and laughing at the silly mistakes some of them made as if they had never experienced the apocalypse for a day.
This was a scene that hadn't been seen ever since mass fever spread the zombie virus.
Both Chu Miao and Ye Xuan couldn't believe that there was still such a clean place in the world.
Chu Miao closed her eyes and took a deep breath concentrating on the air components.
