Commander Shen hadn't told him who he was escorting and just said it was an old friend.

So, he got down from the car and saluted back.

"Commander Shen asked me to show you the way." Liang Wei informed and Ye Xuan had him get in the car as well.
Luckily, the modified Humvees that Grandpa Chu had purchased were big enough to accommodate more people and it wasn't crowded even with one more person.
"So, you are still in service?" Ye Xuan asked curiously.
He had thought that with Liang Wei's ambition, after the apocalypse started, he would retire and probably build his own private base or something.
He had not expected him to still be working in the military.
