The room went quite once more as everyone seemed to be lost in their own thoughts.
A few minutes later, a knock came at the door and after getting permission, the same soldier who had left came back again.
He walked over to Commander Shen and said something close to his ear before saluting and leaving once more.
After the soldier had left, Commander Shen cleared his throat to gain the attention of everyone in the room.
Once he had everyone's attention on him, he reported what the soldier had found.
"We do have family-sized tents, but not many. According to the records, there are only three hundred, but from what I know, there are almost a thousand families in the South." Commander Shen explained.
"I think that number needs to be updated. From the number of deaths that have occurred in the last few weeks since the floods ended, I doubt the number of families remains so high." The second middle-aged woman said somewhat scornfully.
