Chapter 171 - Four Years of Peace

— — — — — — —

Clang!

With sharp eyes, Cadenza commanded, "Set sail!"

"Yes!" At his order, the colossal fleet sprang into action.

A total of 300 ships, each bearing the logo of the Charlotte Family.

Each one marked with the Totto Land insignia.

Although Totto Land had yet to officially declare itself a nation, for years, it had annihilated anyone who stood in its way. Anyone with half a brain knew exactly what that emblem represented.

As the massive fleet set sail, rumors spread quickly.

"How many men is Cadenza leading?"

"300 ships. 300,000 Biscuit Soldiers."

"Just as expected! Knowing that man, he wouldn't let this provocation slide."

The moment this large-scale movement was detected, every major nation took notice.

Totto Land was practically impenetrable to spies. However, the surrounding islands in the New World were home to numerous observers. No movement of this scale could escape their watchful eyes.

Every major faction did the same.

Even the Charlotte Family had people stationed to observe the movements of rival forces. It was a standard routine.

Just like how, in the original story, Whitebeard's pirate crew—despite being the most dominant of the Four Emperors—was under constant surveillance by the Marines.

Edward Newgate wasn't ignorant of this.

He knew.

But wiping out one batch of spies would only invite another. It was a pointless effort.

New World – Storm Island

A land perpetually shrouded in torrential rain, giving it its ominous name.

It had become a gathering place for human trafficking and black-market organ traders.

After all, on an island where it never stops raining, no bloodstains remain.

Naturally, criminals were drawn here.

But today, something changed. Massive ships stormed the waters. A fleet like a tidal wave bore down upon the island.

In that moment, anyone with sense realized—Someone had messed with the wrong people.

Cadenza leaped from the deck.

Roar!

In an instant, his body transformed into a dragon-human hybrid.

Gripping his Silver Spear tightly, his gaze burned with chilling intensity.

Sweeping his eyes across the gathered criminals, he declared coldly, "The Newborn Human Organ Trafficking Syndicate—everyone except them, leave. This has nothing to do with you."

At those words, hesitation vanished.

All the wary bystanders bolted immediately.

No one wanted to get involved in something like this. They weren't idiots. A force of this size? That was a death sentence.

The organ trade was a lucrative business.

The real mastermind? King Drago Piccolo, an underground emperor who controlled a vast network of human trafficking and organ sales.

Many powerful players had stakes in the business. Storm island was merely one of the smaller hubs.

But now, the Totto Land Army had arrived. What chance did small-time thugs stand?

"Kill!" At Cadenza's command, the Biscuit Soldiers surged forward.

His voice was cold and merciless. "Leave no one alive. Find out who's truly behind this. Every last shred of evidence—wipe it clean."

The massacre began.

The screams filled the stormy air.

"No! Please! I had nothing to do with this!"

"Spare me! I beg you!"

But Cadenza was unmoved.

He knew exactly why he was here.

This was a message.

His previous display of strength on the Red Line was merely a show of personal power.

To the kings of the world, individual strength meant little.

They wanted to test the true might of the Charlotte Family.

Now, they had their answer.

"You want to provoke us?" Cadenza thought. "Fine. But be prepared to pay in blood and tears."

Boom!

Thunder rumbled as torrential rain poured down.

The crimson-stained streets were washed clean in moments.

After only three hours, Storm island was turned upside down by the 200,000 Biscuit Soldiers.

Not a single member of the Human Organ Trafficking Syndicate survived.

Evidence had been gathered before the slaughter was complete.

Thud!

When the Biscuit Soldiers returned with their findings, Cadenza asked icily, "Is the mastermind confirmed?"

A soldier stepped forward, presenting a sealed box. "Lord Cadenza! All the evidence and testimonies are accounted for."

Cadenza smirked. "Good. Kill them all. Dump the bodies into the sea. Make sure they're dead."

"Understood!"

That was the principle his eldest brother had instilled in him.

If they were not enemies, then fine—let them be.

But if they were? No mercy.

Complete annihilation.

Leaving enemies alive to plot revenge was the act of a fool.

No speeches. No hesitation.

How many villains had perished because they talked too much?

That mistake would not be repeated.

---

Half an hour later, everything was cleaned up.

The Legion's fleet departed, leaving the island behind.

Yet, the terror they left in their wake would never fade.

"These guys are insane! They didn't leave a single survivor! Not one!"

"They're monsters!"

"Hmph! That country… it's doomed."

Some people had suspected as much.

Totto Land was now a recognized member of the world government.

Without proper justification, launching an attack like this would be an international scandal.

After all, even non-affiliated nations had diplomatic expectations.

One couldn't just attack without cause.

"Hah…"

Someone chuckled darkly. "You think they did this blindly? Wiping out this group took nearly four hours. You really believe that was just killing time?"

"No— they were securing evidence. Unquestionable proof. This was a message: Challenge Totto Land, and this is what happens."

"Terrifying…"

"Yeah…"

The underworld shuddered.

They were just businessmen.

From now on, they'd keep their heads down.

One thing was certain—Never cross the Charlotte Family.

And never, ever provoke the Dark Trade.

It simply wasn't worth it.

— — —

After some time

Cadenza led a massive fleet straight toward their target.

The Sivart Empire.

A mid-sized nation located north of Totto Land's territory.

With a population of nearly two million. And an army of around 300,000 soldiers.

By New World standards, where chaos and war were everyday occurrences, this was actually quite an impressive level of strength and stability.

Unfortunately for them—They had messed with the wrong people.

BOOM!

The roar of cannon fire thundered across the land.

Cadenza wielded his gleaming silver spear with deadly precision.

Moving like a raging storm, his attacks tore through the battlefield at lightning speed.

In a flash—A powerful warrior was cut down where he stood.

Cadenza was a solid Bronze Rank Level 8.

He never even considered these warriors a threat.

With an icy glare, Cadenza ordered, "Kill every soldier, noble, and royal. Leave no one alive. Cut off the king's head and hang it from the palace gates."

"Yes, sir!"

Thirty thousand Biscuit Soldiers charged forward, launching an overwhelming assault.

Sweeping through the Sivart Empire like an unstoppable tide.

The difference in power was simply too vast.

After eliminating the only real warrior in the nation, Cadenza picked up a Den Den Mushi and spoke, "Morgans, are you interested in covering this event?"

"Kukukuku..."

Morgans chuckled with excitement. "Cadenza, of course I'm interested! Totto Land's actions are always big news!"

Cadenza replied, "I'll have my people send you the intel."

Morgans didn't hesitate. "No need! No need! I'll get them myself!"

"Alright then."

Click—the call ended.

Anyone with half a brain could see what Totto Land was doing.

They were positioning themselves as the righteous force.

And technically? They hadn't targeted innocent civilians.

Only soldiers, nobles, and royals—the ones who had opposed them.

But in the end— Could the remaining civilians truly survive without their ruling class?

Sometimes, things weren't as simple as they seemed.

---

Three days passed.

Another nation was wiped off the map.

Its treasures completely looted.

Cadenza turned to Morgans. "I'll leave the rest to you."

Morgans grinned. "No problem! Just make sure to tell Mr. Joey that when Totto Land officially declares itself a kingdom, I expect an invitation to the ceremony."

Cadenza smiled. "Of course, Morgans. You have my word."

And with that, the Totto Land forces withdrew.

Morgans, however, knew the truth.

This wasn't just about destruction. This was psychological warfare at its finest.

But he wasn't about to let such a juicy story slip through his fingers.

After this incident?

No one would dare challenge Totto Land so easily again.

And so, peace and stability lasted for a full four years...

Yep! Time flew by, and before anyone knew it, four years had passed in a flash.
