Tyler's lips curled into a sly grin as he leaned back on the sofa, swirling his glass lazily.
"A woman, I presume? One of your latest catches?
"Dominic chuckled, though a faint crease broke through his otherwise relaxed expression.
"You could say that," he said casually. But the truth was, she wasn't a catch—she was a thorn in his pride.
He hadn't stopped wondering why his charms had failed to work on Shantel even if he had only intended to play around with her for a bit. But her constant rejection and her apparent need to distance herself from him, had gotten to him.
Was it because of Richard? He couldn't help but wonder.
Tyler tilted his head, studying him. "You never told me how your fake date with the woman grandfather arranged for Richard went."
