Kate pulled into the underground parking garage of the Meridian Tower, the Kestrel-9's advanced sensors and navigation systems guiding it to an empty slot on the eleventh level. The elevator whisked them up to the thirty-second floor, where Kate's office was located.
The outer reception area was bustling with activity. Secretaries and assistants worked at desks, answering phones, typing on keyboards, and managing the flow of documents and visitors. They all looked up as Kate and Martha entered, their faces brightening with smiles. Kate was well-liked by her staff, and they respected her for her fairness, intelligence, and leadership abilities.
"Good morning, Kate! Martha!" called out a young woman with curly brown hair, standing up from her desk. "Right on time. I'll have your schedule ready in a minute."
"Thanks, Jenna," Kate replied, giving her a warm smile. "You're a lifesaver."
