After leaving the army camp, instead of returning home, Oliver carried little Koi and went to Root's house.
The public transport bus he was sitting on braked occasionally, forcing him to hold the fish bowl tightly.
The water splashed and churned inside.
Little Koi enjoyed the ride, occasionally moving around to either side, glancing at the skyscrapers seen all around. It quietly absorbed the information about human society as it travelled through the city.
A couple of minutes later, Oliver reached Root's house. Because of the residential area where Root lived being near the city centre, he was able to reach his destination quickly.
Once the bus stopped, Oliver hugged the large fish bowl and carried a plastic bag before exiting.
The plastic bag contained some large chunks of Flood Dragon meat. It was brought along to feed the little Koi.
"Hm… This place is quiet and well-maintained. The roads look neat. There are street lights at every corner. And…"
