Chapter 98 - Jack Is A Cruel Monster Himself And A Mysterious Overlord Beast!

BOOM!

Each of Jack's steps struck the earth like a war drum. Slow. Heavy. Unstoppable.

A chilling

WHOOSH!

The wind passed through the field, but it wasn't nature it was his aura, now untamed and wrathful.

He walked forward… like death incarnate.

Across from him, the once-mighty Shadowclaw Manticore Overlord Beast, a monster that ruled with terror and killed without hesitation stood frozen.

Even though Jack's walking speed was so slow that a five-year-old kid could've run away. But this beast couldn't move an inch. Not because it didn't want to but because it couldn't. It was paralyzed by fear.

Its colossal body trembled like a leaf in a storm.

No longer a predator, just prey.

The Shadowclaw Manticore was now just two meters away from Emma. Its claw hovered dangerously, barely a meter from her unconscious body, lay Unconscious. Vulnerable.

If she hadn't collapsed from Jack's terrifying pressure, that claw might've pierced her skull already.

But Jack's pressure had come too swiftly, too violently. It had knocked her out cold.

Now, that same pressure was suffocating the beast that dared threaten her. It didn't move because it couldn't. Not from wounds, but from pure, primal fear.

Step. Step. Step.

Jack closed the distance like the slow countdown to an execution.

Their eyes locked.

Jack's golden irises burning like twin suns radiated madness, rage, and divine retribution.

The Manticore's deep-purple pupils quivered, pleading, as if begging for a chance it would never get.

DING!

Three Aura Force Rings spun into existence around Jack's left arm, coiling like serpents made of molten fury.

He raised that arm silently. Ruthless. Final.

CLACK!

He grabbed the beast's claw. The same one that had nearly killed his mother.

And then

RIPPP!!

He tore the entire limb clean off.

BANG!

A geyser of blood exploded into the air.

The Manticore roared in agony

AARRRHHHGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!

Its scream echoed like a tortured soul being dragged to hell.

But Jack wasn't done.

CRACK!

Second limb ripped…

RIP!

Third gone.

THUD!

Fourth torn clean.

BOOM!

The beast collapsed, a crippled mess of flesh and blood. Its once-proud black fur was now painted in deep crimson. Its roars turned into pitiful cries.

Its body convulsed.

But to Jack, that wasn't enough. It would never be enough.

THUD!

He stomped forward and raised a foot.

BAM!!

He kicked the beast square in the chest, ribs shattered, organs ruptured.

Then

RIIIIIIP!!

He grabbed its massive, bat-like wings and tore them off one by one.

RIP! RIP!

The scorpion-like tail followed next.

CRACK!

Now, the so-called "Overlord Beast" lay twitching, mutilated. No longer a monster, just a carcass waiting to die.

Jack's left hand lit up with eerie light...He thrust it into the beast's chest…

SHLOK!

His fingers digging deep into flesh and bone.

He found it.

ﮩ٨ـﮩﮩ٨ـ♡ﮩ٨ـﮩﮩ٨ـ

DING!

The heart.

And with a single

YANK!

SPLOOSH!

He tore it out, still beating, still warm.

The Manticore stared at him. Eyes wide. Soul shattered. Pain is unimaginable.

But Jack's eyes showed no mercy.

THUD!!

With one final stomp he crushed its skull beneath his boot.

CRACKKK!!!

The monster's final cry died in the wind.

Silence returned.

The sky above rumbled. A storm of mana loomed, swirling violently.

Manticore's dead, hollow gaze seemed to whisper…

"I chose the wrong human to provoke and mess with his family…"

----

Drip… drip… drip…

Blood trickled from Jack's fingertips, pooling beneath his feet. He stood still, unmoving.

Eyes cold. Breath silent.

Before him lay the mangled corpse of the Shadowclaw Manticore Overlord Beast, its body nothing but broken pieces, its heart still warm in Jack's grip.

Then…

DING!

Jack thrust his hand into the beast's chest once more and yanked out the Overload Beast Core, a pulsating orb of deep purple and obsidian.

Without hesitation, his Devourer Blessing activated.

WHOOSH!

The core was absorbed into his body in an instant consumed like a snack.

A surge of energy coursed through him, crackling beneath his skin.

He turned.

And walked calmly toward his father.

James lay on the ground, his legs crushed, twisted at grotesque angles, bone jutting through skin.

But Jack didn't panic.

He knelt beside him and placed a blood-soaked hand over his father's crippled legs.

GLIMMER…

A dark crimson aura surged forth from Jack's palm twisting, mending, regenerating.

His Devouring Power wasn't just for destruction…

It could be restored. It could be rebuilt.

Bone reformed. Muscles knit together. Skin closed seamlessly.

Within minutes, James's legs looked like they had never been cripple. No scars. No blood. Nothing remained of the injury.

Jack exhaled softly.

But the battlefield wasn't silent anymore.

Thud… thud…

All around him, the remaining Overload Beasts started with wide, horrified eyes.

Their breaths were erratic. Their muscles are stiff.

They had just witnessed a nightmare in human skin.

The way Jack had torn apart one of their most powerful allies limb from limb, with calm indifference…It wasn't human.

It was something… far worse.

His presence now felt more monstrous than any beast. His golden eyes burned like suns.

His aura was thick like a hurricane made of blood and rage.

He didn't look like a human anymore. He looked like a Beast in human skin.

CRACK!

BOOM!

Step by Step, Jack flashed forward.

Each movement is lightning-fast. Each strike was fatal.

SLASH!

A Overload Blazemaw Chimera decapitated.

BANG!

A hulking Ogre Overload chest caved in.

THUD!

A Frostveil Wyrm split in two.

Stormfang Griffin killed by his simple Dagger strike.

A Bloodthorn Hydra burned by his Pyro elemental Dagger Slash without him chance to fast Regenerative ability.

Ironfang Behemoth cushed by his simple kick.

Mistborn Specter in burned by his light elemental attack.

Cinderclaw Drake killed by his two strikes of Dagger attacks.

Like a grim reaper, he erased the battlefield of monsters one by one….And then…Only one remained.

She stood tall unafraid. Duskfang Harpy.

Eight feet of twilight-colored majesty.

Feathers like flowing silk, talons glowing red.

Her eyes… sparkled.

Not with terror.

But with delight.

Among the massacre, she smiled as if watching her favorite movie unfold before her eyes.

She shows rare a peculiar glint in her eyes... it's make her even more charming. If anyoneone sees this, One could say is beasts also beautiful.

Jack stopped in front of her. His hand raised ready to end her like the rest.

But something held him back. His golden eyes narrowed.

She looked… too human.

If not for the wings and talons, she could've passed for a powerful, beautiful warrior woman.

"…Why are you smiling?" he asked, voice low and dangerous. "I just slaughtered your kind… ripped them apart. And you're grinning?"

The Duskfang Harpy's smile widened. Her voice, melodic and soft, drifted like moonlight.

"Hello, Jack," she said. "Nice meeting you."

THUMP.

Jack's heart skipped a beat.

His eyes narrowed further, expression sharpening."…You can talk?"

She nodded slowly, her tone teasing.

"Of course I can," she whispered. "And I've been watching you… for a long time."
