Chapter 91 - Final Showdown Part-1

BOOM!

The last beast's body hit the ground with a final, sickening THUD, its blood steaming against scorched earth.

The battle was over.

Or so they thought.

For a fleeting moment, relief swept over the bloodied ranks of the Otherworlder Ascendants. Blades were raised, some trembling with exhaustion, others gleaming with pride. Spells flickered faintly in the air, dancing like dying embers.

"We did it!"

Cheers rang out. Elation bloomed briefly, fragile.

But then…

ROOOAAARRR!!

A monstrous howl tore through the night, louder and deeper than anything before.

CRACK!

The sky itself seemed to split. The celebration died in their throats.

The ground quaked.

THOOM. THOOM. THOOM.

From beyond the corpse-strewn field, the earth ruptured under the weight of fury.

110 beasts remained.

And leading them ten Peak-Stage monsters aura blazing like suns of destruction.

The battlefield held its breath.

Even the Beast Encyclopedia portraits couldn't compare to them.

What stood before them now... were nightmares made flesh.

Their eyes burned red, filled with wrath, hunger, and vengeance. They howled together…

ROAAAR!!

A wave of sound. A quake of fear. A promise of death.

The Final Showdown had begun.

---

THUD! THUD! THUD!

From the broken horizon, they came.

A Crimson Tsunami.

A charging stampede of death.

100 Mid-Stage 3rd Star Beasts thundered forward, furious, relentless.

Behind them, their ten leaders marched with terrifying calm, radiating killing intent thick enough to choke.

---

First Row: 20 Cinderthorn Boars

BOOM!

Massive, 6-foot-tall behemoths with charred black fur and glowing orange tusks.

Every charge left a trail of fire molten cracks searing the ground.

Their roars were like erupting volcanoes.

RAAAAAGH!

---

Second Row: 20 Duskclaw Imps

WHOOSH!

Slippery, fast, 4-foot monsters with twilight-blue skin, wielding curved shadow daggers.

They hissed curses through razor fangs.

Their claws were poisoned, their whispers cursed.

Kreeee!!

Eyes glowed red. Madness danced in their grins.

---

Third Row (Aerial): 20 Stormtalon Hawks

CAW! KA-CRACK!

7-foot wingspans, lightning-infused feathers crackling with electricity.

They dove from the sky like thunderbolts

BOOM!

FLASH!

Every dive ripped wind apart, their screeches echoing like splitting metal.

---

Fourth Row: 20 Bloodvine Serpents

SHHH!

8-foot long serpents with crimson, thorned scales.

They slithered, eyes pulsing with bloodlust.

Coiled with bone-crushing force.

CRACK!

CRUNCH!

Drank blood through skin as they crushed.

---

Fifth Row: 20 Ironscale Crocodiles

CRASH!

SPLASH!

10-foot beasts of metallic gray hide and jagged tails.

From swampy waters and riverbeds, they ambushed with precision.

Their jaws? Strong enough to shatter stone.

Their tails? Spiked wrecking balls.

----

And then…

The ground shook.

THOOM... THOOM... THOOM...

They arrived.

The Ten Peak-Stage Beasts.

Each one… a calamity under Mortal Tier Foundation Stage.

Blazemaw Chimera

ROOOAAARRR!!

Lion's body. Serpent tail. Goat's head belching fire. Venomous, brutal.

FWOOSH!

HISS!

---

Frostveil Wyrm

12-foot legless predator, icy scales shimmering.

SHHH!

Eyes glowed cold blue. Frost breath flash-freezes the earth. It burrowed silently beneath the ground...

Until it struck.

---

Shadowclaw Manticore

Pitch-black lion. Bat wings spread like death.

CLOAKED IN SHADOWS.

Its scorpion tail whipped with venomous fury.

STAB!

STAB!

No warning. No mercy.

---

Stormfang Griffin

Wings of thunder. Claws of lightning. A god of storms.

KA-KRAAAK!!

BOOM!

It screeched, calling down a bolt that split stone.

It flew faster than arrows.

----

Bloodthorn Hydra

HISSSSS!

Three heads. Regenerating. Dripping with blood-venom.

Only fire could stop its rebirth. Its gaze alone was despair.

----

Ironfang Behemoth

BOOM!

BOOM!

CRACK!!

Steel-gray giant. Spiked fists slammed into the ground like siege hammers.

Spells bounced off.

It didn't just fight, it was annihilated.

----

Mistborn Specter.

A fog that moved. A whisper of death. 7 feet of translucent horror mana-draining touch.

Zzzzzt!

Weapons passed through it. But its touch? Soul-chilling.

----

Cinderclaw Drake

SKREEEEE!

Molten claws. Wings of embers. It breathed ash that choked the sky.

Every swipe left trails of burning light.

----

Crystalbloom Golem

A walking gem fortress. Glowing with ancient power.

THUMP!

THUMP!

Quartz fists exploded on impact, leaving trails of blinding flashes.

---

Duskfang Harpy

Sang songs of despair

Wooooooo~

And willpower shattered.

Feathers gleamed dark purple, talons curved like executioner's blades.

SHANK!

----

And so… they advanced.

100 beasts.

10 terrors.

1 tide of extinction.

The Ascendants stood, staring into the abyss

And the abyss… roared back.

"Brace yourselves!"

Jack's voice cut through the chaos.

Cold. Unshaken.

He stepped forward calmly amidst the storm.

The others? They readied blades. Drew spells. Summoned beasts.

Because this wasn't just a battle anymore.

This was survival.

And somewhere in that darkness

Jack smiled.

Because his real fight... was about to begin.

-----

As the dust from the fallen beasts settled, a strange stillness filled the air… until

BOOM!

The earth trembled violently. A monstrous presence surged toward them. From the crimson haze, silhouettes emerged.huge, brutal, and all too real.

CRACK!

WHOOSH!

THUD!

Ten towering figures loomed behind a charging swarm of nightmares. The final wave had arrived.

110 beasts. Ten of them… Peak Stage.

A cold silence fell over the Ascendants.

Even among the hardened Otherworlders, unease spread like a shadow.

"T-The Blazemaw Chimera… that's so frightening?" gasped a young mage named Linnea, sweat pouring down her brow. Her eyes locked on the triple-headed beast, its lion's mane ablaze.

"It's real. That tail… it's moving on its own." said Haron, gripping his war hammer. "Gods, that's venom, isn't it?"

BOOM!

The Chimera stomped, scorching the ground beneath.

"Forget the Chimera, look at the Stormfang Griffin! It's… it's called lightning!" cried Elric, one of the archers. "That's not thunder. That's a damn storm coming with it!"

CRACK-BOOM!!

A bolt of lightning tore through the clouds, drawn by the beast's screech.

"We're not fighting beasts anymore," muttered Kael, a blade dancer with sharp eyes. "These are calamities with claws.'

They watched the blood-colored Hydra screech, its three heads swaying each regenerating as it bit into the corpse of a fallen boar.

"Only fire kills that thing. We need mages. Where the hell are our flamecasters?!" shouted a veteran knight, eyes locked on the Bloodthorn Hydra.

"I can stall it with Inferno Bind," growled Lucia, her eyes glowing with mana. "But I'll need backup. That thing sucks the life out of everything it touches."

WHOOSH!

The Mistborn Specter drifted forward. No sound. No weight. Just death in fog.

"Don't let that one near the casters!" barked Commander Rourke. "It drains mana just by existing!'

"It's incorporeal… how do we even hit it?" asked a rogue with trembling hands.

Enchanted weapons. Divine essence. And pray.

Behind them, the Ironfang Behemoth took a step.

BANG!

The earth fractured.

"That thing tanked a mountain fall in the archives," said someone behind Rourke. "Its hide turns spells into tickles."

"Don't go head-on. Drag it into the Crystalbloom Golem's path. Maybe they'll clash." a strategist advised, eyes darting between enemies. "We use chaos. We make them kill each other."

The Crystalbloom Golem let out a resonating hum its glowing fists shimmered like stars before slamming into the ground with a blinding

FLASH!

"Knights! Shields up!" someone shouted as

Ding!

A spell barrier flickered into place.

Among it all, the Duskfang Harpy hovered, voice rising like a cursed lullaby.

"SHUT HER UP!" bellowed Elric. "That song she's in our heads !"

Half the front line faltered, eyes dazed.

"Countersong now!" yelled Kael. A priest chanted, clashing harmonies clanged in the air.

Ding! Clang! Hummmm…!

Breaths were held. Hearts pounded.

And then without a signal, without a cry

They moved.

THUD! THUD! THUD! ROOOOAR!!

The final war had begun.
