"Ahhh! Ahhh! Ahhhh!" Luffy sneezed several times, completely unaware that he was being discussed by others. Chopper nervously checked him, only to be relieved when he found Luffy was in good health. Chopper's anxiety stemmed from his memory of Roger's terminal illness. He did not want Luffy to follow in those footsteps.
"Chopper, it's okay. I've never had a cold. You're too careful," Luffy said with indifference.
"This is not acceptable! As the ship's doctor, I must ensure everyone's health! Luffy, you should remember that One Piece Roger also surrendered himself because of a terminal illness!" Chopper emphasized loudly.
Luffy had no counterargument. The Roger Pirates had indeed disbanded due to Roger's terminal illness. Seeing the end of his life, and unable to overcome the disease regardless of his strength, Roger had chosen to surrender himself, ultimately sparking the Great Pirate Era with his own life. Therefore, Chopper's caution was well-founded.
Nami added her persuasion, stating that everyone should listen to the ship's doctor on this matter. Luffy nodded solemnly, deciding that Chopper should conduct regular physical examinations to ensure no partner suffered due to illness.
"Understood!" Chopper replied happily. He promptly pulled Law and the medical team over to begin examinations, declaring they would be a regular occurrence. Law, understanding the importance of health in such a dangerous sea—especially remembering how Brook's original pirate crew was wiped out by illness—did not object. Reiju was surprised by the truth regarding Roger's surrender, which Law patiently explained to her. While most of the world believed Garp captured Roger, the truth was different, though few would believe it even if they were told. The Straw Hats had no interest in publicizing this information.
After staying on the island for several days, the crew's injuries healed rapidly, and they prepared to sail. During their stay, an incident involving Sanji and a Germa 66 battle suit occurred. After Reiju gave the canister to Sanji, he feigned disinterest, leading the crew to treat it like a toy. It was nearly lost to the sea, but Sanji leapt out with lightning speed to retrieve it, claiming he would keep it safe to prevent them from playing with it.
Carl anticipated Sanji's true intentions. That night, Sanji used the black suit to hide in the bathroom, hoping to fulfill a childhood dream. However, Nami smelled blood—the result of a nosebleed—and, upon catching him, beat him up and threw him out of the bathroom. He was immediately confronted by his grinning crewmates. Despite his embarrassment, Sanji did not give up on his desire to use the suit in the future.
Once ready, Luffy shouted, "Partners! Let's sail!". Carl and Sanji controlled the ships, and they flew toward the New World. Because the New World was too dangerous to navigate while injured, they took their time sailing freely. Within a day, they returned to the New World, immediately welcoming the nostalgia of its storms.
When determining their course, Luffy chose the direction of the log pose that trembled the most. While the crew was accustomed to this, Jinbei and Reiju were visibly shocked by the unconventional approach. However, given the crew's strength, it mattered little.
As they returned, other forces in the New World chose to avoid them. The Big Mom and Blackbeard Pirates were both licking their wounds after their recent defeats. The Beast Pirates remained huddled in Wano, and the Red Hair Pirates were missing. With no one willing to challenge the Straw Hats, the New World grew quiet. This calm was broken when a mysterious individual destroyed a town while inquiring about the Straw Hats' movements and set out to intercept them, causing an uproar among all factions.
