The Shandians in Cloud Village and the islanders of Angel Island were also gripped by panic. They vaguely suspected the ship belonged to Enel but couldn't understand what their 'god' intended to do.
The White Berets quickly assembled, and McKinley personally organized the evacuation.
"Hurry to the boats! We're leaving Angel Island! Enel's gone mad; he's going to destroy this place like he destroyed Birka! Everyone run! Take a boat to the White Sea, to the Blue Sea! Everyone must survive!"
McKinley yelled at everyone.
The people of Angel Island couldn't believe it.
"Captain McKinley, what are you saying? How could God destroy Angel Island?"
"Yes, that is God! We are God's people!"
"Captain McKinley, please don't talk nonsense; you'll be punished by God!"
Seeing their disbelief, McKinley grew frantic.
He gritted his teeth and shouted, "Enel isn't worthy of being called a god at all! He destroyed his own hometown and doesn't care about our lives! Don't beg this brutal guy for mercy! Run away, escape from here! Saving your lives is what matters!"
The islanders immediately panicked and fled to the port.
McKinley looked at the thunderclouds covering the sky, his face filled with despair.
Their White Beret troops used to be Gan Fall's subordinates, and they volunteered to serve Enel to protect the islanders. Unexpectedly, they still faced destruction in the end.
Their past efforts had been in vain.
"Who will save Skypiea? Who will save us!"
The Shandians in Cloud Village also began to evacuate with their families; staying was no longer an option.
If Enel went berserk and sent a lightning strike their way, everyone would die.
The chief made a swift decision and abandoned the four-hundred-year-old village. Finally, he took a deep look at the statue of the great warrior Kalgara and left reluctantly.
As for the warriors still in Upper Yard, they could only pray for their safety.
In Upper Yard, Enel began to unleash his power crazily, more lightning aimed at the base of the giant beanstalk.
Luffy stretched out his hand, swatting away the lightning bolts, his eyes filled with anger. He hadn't expected Enel to be so insane as to want to destroy this place.
Skypiea and Mount Dora were beautiful miracles, and Enel wanted to destroy them!
Luffy wouldn't allow it!
"Gum-Gum... Ray Gun!"
Enel manipulated the thundercloud, forming a massive thunderball, and Luffy could sense the enormous energy it contained. Once that thunderball landed, the entire island would likely be destroyed.
"Luffy, what?" Nami asked anxiously.
"Don't worry, I won't let Enel succeed!" Luffy said, about to use Geppo.
At that moment, a huge slash erupted from the high clouds, tearing open the sky and easily splitting the massive thunderball in two.
Then, the thunderball exploded, completely revealing the blue sky.
The sudden change shocked everyone.
No one expected such a sudden attack, shattering that huge thunderball in an instant.
"It's Teacher Carl!" Everyone in the Straw Hats suddenly became excited.
That's right, Luffy had said that Mr. Carl was at the top of the beanstalk, and the only one capable of that was him.
Enel was also stunned; he hadn't expected his Dao Dao Lei Ying to be destroyed so easily.
Moreover, it was that terrifying guy who attacked!
"You bastard! Why did you stop my Thunder Judgment! I just want to destroy this place!" Enel roared, his voice filled with anguish.
Carl didn't respond and slowly sheathed Obsidian.
Then he shouted down, "Hey! Didn't I tell you to handle this? What are you all doing!"
Everyone in the Straw Hats, except Luffy, suddenly felt ashamed. Carl had said he would leave things to them on Skypiea, but they still hadn't taken down the main threat.
Although Enel was a Logia and possessed the strongest Rumble-Rumble Fruit, he wasn't invincible.
There were quite a few with Armament Haki present!
"Then I'll do it! Usopp!"
Zoro yelled, and Usopp immediately rushed to the Ark Maxim with Zoro.
Enel laughed loudly, "Two more heading to their deaths! As long as it's not that terrifying guy, I'm not afraid of anyone! I am thunder! I am the true god!"
He raised his hand to electrocute Usopp, but Usopp dodged nimbly.
"Huh? He can avoid my Observation Haki's capture? This long nose is weird!" Enel muttered to himself.
Soon, Usopp flung Zoro onto the deck of the Ark Maxim.
...asking for flowers...
Zoro had already bitten down on Wado Ichimonji, assumed his Santoryu stance, and rushed toward Enel without a word.
"Ahahaha! Knives can't hurt me..."
Enel initially looked relaxed, but as Zoro's swords were about to strike, his heart skipped a beat, and he instinctively dodged. However, he was a little too late and received a deep wound from Zoro.
Blood poured out immediately!
"Ahh! How is this possible! Why can you hurt me too!"
Enel was on the verge of a breakdown. He hadn't expected that there were others in this world who could hurt him as much as that terrifying guy.
Simply unreasonable!
"Aren't you the Almighty God? Why are you hiding!"
Zoro said with dissatisfaction and continued his attack.
Enel immediately used Thunder Pillar, but Zoro dodged it in advance. Even Thunderbird and Thunder Beast couldn't touch Zoro. Now Enel understood that this green-haired swordsman also possessed Observation Haki, and its strength wasn't weak.
Wouldn't that be bad?!
"Santoryu! One Hundred and Eight Torments!"
"Santoryu! Tiger Hunt!"
"Santoryu! Hey, why are you hiding all the time, relying on your lightning speed, right?"
Zoro was a little annoyed. He had used many techniques, but Enel didn't counter at all, only dodged, and his dodging speed was so fast that Zoro couldn't land a significant blow.
In fact, Zoro didn't know, but Enel was even more frustrated.
After being a 'god' for so many years, this was the first time, no, the second time, he was being oppressed and beaten.
"It's wrong to be distracted during a battle."
The unfamiliar voice startled Enel, and then a black shoe came into view.
Years of habit made Enel forget to dodge, and the black shoe connected directly with his face, sending him flying.
"How can it be?!!!"
Enel felt like his nose was broken, demonstrating the force of that kick.
But what Enel found even more unacceptable was that another person could hurt him.
It was as if fate had chosen this day to specifically target him. Either they didn't appear on ordinary days, but this time they came in a group, overwhelming him all at once.
