A few weeks had passed since the world-destroying fight between Guy and Velzard. Their battle had shaken the world's axis, but now in the Northern Continent, Guy, Rain, and Misery lived with their demon subordinates. Velzard had also moved in to live with them.
Meanwhile, in the Heavenly Palace, Origin was very bored. He had already created the blueprint for the World-Wide Monitoring System (WWMS) and just needed the materials to start making it. However, until now, he had not received a single thing from Guy, making him bored and speechless at Guy's antics and how he was delaying the project. He eventually got up and teleported directly from the Heavenly Palace to a location near the Northern Continent.
Upon reaching there, he said to himself, "You made me wait twenty-seven days and thirteen hours, you bastard Guy. How much more time do you need to collect some Magisteel and Orichalcum? I didn't even ask for the broken core of a burning star—for that, I could even help you—but you can't even give me these Magisteel and Orichalcum materials? Aren't you the First Demon Lord? Can't you even get these materials?"
After thinking this, he simply rushed toward Guy's palace through the blizzard that surrounded the continent. As he reached it, he conjured a ball of high-melting blue fire and hit Guy's castle, breaking in and entering. This caused a huge sound to echo across the entire palace, alarming even Guy, who was drinking wine. Guy wondered who would dare to break his palace door and enter. Sensing the familiar presence, Guy couldn't help but curse his incompetent subordinate, Rain; it had been over twenty-seven days and she had still not returned with the materials. He knew that with Origin here now, it would give him the opportunity to make fun of him and scold him.
Guy calmed himself, stood up, and said, "It's been a long time since I saw you, Origin. What happened that you came to visit me?"
Origin replied, "Don't say that long time no see' shit to me. Where are the materials I needed for building your World-Wide Monitoring System?"
Hearing this, Guy's right eye twitched. "Well, when your letter arrived that day, I had already sent Rain to acquire the materials, but she hasn't arrived yet. What can I do?"
Origin felt his own right eye twitching. "Isn't Rain your subordinate? Since she hasn't come until now, shouldn't you at least check on where she is or what she is doing?"
Guy replied, "Origin, I was a bit busy these days, so I couldn't find her, but I have sent Misery to find Rain. You see, I had to fight Velzard, and after fighting her, my work got even bigger—managing which territory had been damaged and seeing if our fighting spawned any monsters. I had to send many demons to subdue or kill them, and look over humanity to see if they don't do any stupid shit again, like summoning a Primordial or starting a war to end me."
Just as they were talking, a portal opened beside them and Velzard stepped out. "I thought I sensed a familiar presence, so I thought I could come and meet him," she said.
"How are you, Velzard?" Origin asked.
Velzard replied, "I am good. How are you?"
Origin said, "It seems you are a lot stronger than the last time I saw you."
Velzard replied, "Of course. I trained and became stronger."
Origin then asked, "So what happened after fighting this guy? Why are you staying here and not at the Heavenly Palace?"
Hearing this, Velzard suddenly couldn't answer. She couldn't say that she wanted to stay with Guy because she liked him, so she said, "Well, I am looking over him so that he doesn't do anything stupid."
Origin immediately understood that Velzard had become interested in Guy and wanted to stay with him. He looked at Guy and thought about how this guy attracted a cold beauty like Velzard. Even knowing the original light novel, Origin couldn't understand how this bastard Guy managed to win Velzard's heart.
Guy then said, "You keep talking about your World-Wide Monitoring System. Come on, tell me its functions and how you will make it and use it."
Origin said, "It seems I need to tell you about my invention then. Come on, let's sit and talk while drinking some wine."
They came to the roof balcony and sat behind a barrier that blocked the blizzard. Origin held a glass of wine and took a sip. In front of him sat Guy, who also took a sip. Origin asked, "So what do you want to ask, Guy?"
Guy said, "I want to know how the World-Wide Monitoring System (WWMS) will work."
Origin replied, "Well, with the materials you give me, I will create some powerful magic pillars and bury them across the world in different areas. Since they are made of Magisteel and Orichalcum, they can sense magic and absorb it to work. The next part is that I will build a satellite."
Guy asked, "What is a satellite?"
Origin said, "A satellite from my past world where I used to live. They were launched into space and could receive and send information across the world at high speeds."
Guy said, "Well, once again, I am shocked at human creativity to create such a thing."
Origin added, "Well, my previous world did not have any magic; we only used science and technology."
Guy said, "That makes it even more amazing to use such a thing without magic. The human brain is truly creative."
Origin said, "In fact, most of the time when humanity makes progress is during war."
Guy nodded. "That's true. So many human nations are always fighting each other for land and resources. So what is the use of this satellite?"
Origin replied, "I will make a big satellite using Orichalcum and send it out into space, where it will orbit and collect every bit of information from those pillars. It will send it to the main system in your palace, where you can check everything in real-time while just being here at your palace. The main thing is the core of a broken star. After getting that, we will have sufficient energy to use this continuously."
Guy said, smiling, "This will make my work so much easier." Velzard agreed that it was very interesting.
Origin said, "But I can only make it when you give me the materials, Guy."
Guy replied, "Well, you will get the materials when Misery finds Rain."
Just as they were talking, Misery arrived with Rain following her. Guy suppressed his rage and asked calmly, "Where were you, Rain? And where are the materials?"
Rain replied, "Well, Guy-sama, I was learning painting in a human nation."
Guy said, "Weren't you supposed to bring me the materials I asked for?"
Rain replied, "Guy-sama, the materials are ready! The reason I could not bring them quickly is that it took me a lot of time to find them, mine them, and create them. Plus, your fight with Velzard-sama delayed me, as I also protected a nation that was almost destroyed by an earthquake."
Guy calmed his anger, knowing Rain and Misery were his only capable subordinates. "Rain, anyway, you have committed a mistake. Misery, now all the work in the Palace will be given to Rain for six months."
Rain thought, No, this will kill me! She usually slacked off and gave her work to Misery. Rain suddenly begged and held Guy's legs, saying, "Guy-sama, forgive me! Don't let me do so much work! I used to slack off and give it to Misery to complete it, why don't you give work to Misery too?"
Misery had felt pity for her friend, but hearing Rain try to give her the work, she decided to let Rain suffer. Guy said to Misery, "Misery, take Rain and go away for now."
After they left, Origin and Velzard were speechless. Origin remained calm as he knew Rain's personality from the light novel, but he hadn't thought she would develop it so early.
Guy said, "So, Origin, now that the materials have arrived, you can begin with your work, can't you?"
Origin said, "Yeah, yeah, I don't need you to tell me this, you gay bastard."
Guy replied, "Then I hope you complete your work quickly, lazy bastard."
Origin said, "I am not that lazy." He then disappeared in a flash of lightning. Guy immediately added more barriers to the balcony. "I have to add some barriers so this bastard can't arrive anytime he wants, as if he owns the palace. I know that Origin bastard; he is a vengeful bastard. Because of me, his lazy ass got work, so he will try to make fun of me whenever possible."
Meanwhile, Origin arrived back at the Heavenly Palace and went to visit Veldanava. He entered the room and saw Sir Veldanava drinking Coke and eating huge slices of cheese pizza while reading manga. He heard him say, "I knew it! This Aizen was a shady guy! How could he die suddenly? And now he is alive? As expected, Ichimaru Gin is indeed his follower, what a snake bastard. What a great plan they made!"
Origin couldn't believe Sir Veldanava was reading the Bleach manga. "Sir Veldanava, could you stop reading manga? No one would believe you are a Creator God if they saw you like this; they would think you are an otaku shut-in boy."
Veldanava coughed and snapped his fingers, making everything disappear. "So, Origin, what happened? Did you get your materials from Guy? But shouldn't you be easily able to create them with your Ultimate Skill?"
Origin nodded. "Of course I could, but I wanted Guy to experience the pain of doing this so I could relax until then."
Veldanava asked, "So why did you come to talk with me then?"
Origin said, "Well, Sir Veldanava, Velzard has fallen for Guy."
Veldanava calmly said, "Is that so? Okay."
Origin reacted normally, as Veldanava likely already knew. Origin then left Veldanava's room to start creating the WWMS.
