Her bow and arrow materialized beside her, but a frown appeared on her face when she saw Zain smirking at her. "Use another form and wipe that stupid look off your face."
Zain shook his head. "I like that we match," he said and turned to Asher. "Your orders, Master?"
"Stay close," he said, his tone leaving no room for argument. "Fight together."
The first wave of creatures reached the defensive line. The dragons met them head-on, claws and weapons clashing. Roars and screams filled the night as the battle commenced.
Cinder moved with agility. Despite the revealing cloth she wore, she wielded the knives in her hand like actual swords, and she wasn't even good with them.
