Max sat beside David, rendered speechless.
He shook his head as a cold smile emerged on his lips before responding, "Sister Rena, you hurt my feelings. Seriously, am I not allowed to come here?"
Aurora stifled a smile at the sight of sulking Max. She remembered how Renata would always tease him during their encounters. Naturally, Max had never been fond of Renata; he favored her instead.
Renata laughed while waving her hand, trying to clarify, "Oh dear, Max, of course not. You are always welcome here, honey. But I'm just confused. How do you know Aurora?" she asked while looking at Aurora and Max in turn.
Max was reluctant to answer Renata. He smiled a little while looking away at the glass of water in his hand.
Aurora had no choice but to respond to Renata, "Sis, we share the same class. Plus, he's also part of the internship program at Stardust Tech."
