Chapter 18 - Chapter 17: The Disappearence Of Serena part 2

Anna ran through the heavy rain, her heart racing. The storm roared, but she didn't care about the cold or the water soaking her clothes. All she could think about was Serena. She should have stayed home, the thought nagged at her mind.

Serena had never disappeared before. Whenever family drama happened because of David, she would either stay at Mia's place or spend time with Yuna. Serena had a group of friends, but only Mia and Yuna knew everything about her.

Anna had no idea where Serena was. She just kept running frantically, tears streaming down her face for her sister, regretting the decision to leave home and not return for an entire day.

Suddenly, Anna turned a corner too fast and bumped into a car. She fell hard onto the wet pavement, her glasses flying across the road, her hands scraping against the rough ground.

The car door opened, and Jimin stepped out, surprised to see Anna. "I'm sorry, I didn't see you," Jimin apologized. He moved closer to Anna and helped her up. "Are you okay? What's going on?" he asked worriedly.

Anna looked up at Jimin, and as if her patience had finally snapped, pain overwhelmed her, and she began to cry.

"Serena's missing!" Anna said in a trembling voice. "She didn't come home, and no one knows where she is!" She paused for a moment to catch her breath, then continued. "I don't know what to do. Kevin called her friends, but she's not there. This has never happened before. Serena never stays out for too long." Anna explained, each word laced with pain.

Jimin's eyes widened. He grabbed her shoulders and gently caressed her. "Serena will be fine. We'll find her," he comforted, but no words could calm the panic in her.

"What if something bad happened to her?" Anna said, gasping for breath as she pushed her wet hair back, panic rising inside her.

Jimin slowly pulled her closer into his embrace and wrapped his arms around her drenched body. He understood the pain of losing loved ones, and despite knowing that Anna was the daughter of his enemy, he still felt her anguish. "I'll find her, I promise," Jimin said, gently patting her head.

Anna's eyes widened as she realized how close she had gotten to Jimin. Her heart raced, and fear and confusion flashed across her face. She quickly pulled away, stepping back to put distance between them. Her hands trembled slightly as she crossed her arms, shielding herself. "I… I shouldn't…" she muttered, avoiding his gaze. Her voice was low, as if she were reminding herself that they were strangers and not in a situation to get closer.

"Now, get in the car, and we'll search for your sister," he said quickly, leading Anna to his car.

Anna nodded, and they both got into the car. Jimin drove fast, the windshield wipers working hard against the heavy rain. Anna kept looking out the window, hoping to see Serena somewhere, but the streets were empty. Fear consumed her mind, and she couldn't stop thinking about her sister.

Serena's sudden disappearance surprised Jimin as well. He hadn't killed her, as Serena wasn't on his list. The only people Jimin wanted to murder were the ones who had tortured him and worked for the organization.

Jimin also knew that Jungkook would never dare to kill any humans, no matter how hard he tried to act tough. Jungkook was soft-hearted, and seeing anyone in pain—especially if they hadn't harmed Jimin—was difficult for him. Now, Jimin believed that a third person might be involved.

"Why am I not having a good vibe?" Jimin thought. He diverted his attention to Anna, who was crying buckets of tears and gazing outside. "If she's not at her friend's home, she might have gone to her hangout place," Jimin said as he sped his car through the road, not knowing where he was actually heading. "Do you know any hangout places?" he asked.

"I know a few spots," Anna said, her voice shivering from the cold.

"Okay, we'll check all of them," Jimin said.

Jimin sped the car through the rain-soaked streets, his hands tight on the wheel. Suddenly, Anna's phone rang, breaking the tense silence. She fumbled to answer it, hoping for good news.

"Anna, it's Kevin," her brother's voice came through, sounding strained. "Serena's still missing. Dad and I are heading to the police station to file a report. Where are you?"

Anna took a shaky breath. "I'm with my friend Jimin. We're going to check a few places Serena might be. I'll let you know if we find anything."

"Be careful, Anna," Kevin said, his voice softening. "Call me if you need help."

"I will," Anna replied before hanging up. She turned to Jimin, her hands trembling. "Kevin and Dad are going to the police. We need to hurry."

Jimin glanced at her, his expression serious. "We'll find her, Anna. Where to first?"

"Pizza Pie," Anna said quickly. "It's her favorite spot. She might be there."

Jimin nodded, gripping the wheel tighter. "Pizza Pie it is. Hold on." He pressed the accelerator, and the car surged forward, cutting through the rain.

Anna stared out the window, her heart pounding. "What if she's not there, Jimin? What if something really bad happened?"

Jimin reached over and gently squeezed her hand. "Don't worry, we'll check every place she could be. Don't lose hope."

Anna nodded, wiping her tears. "Okay. Let's just get there fast."

Jimin took his jacket out. "Take this, you're shaking from the cold," he said, extending his black leather jacket toward Anna.

Anna hesitated. "No, thanks. I'm fine," she refused, blowing her breath into her palms.

"I can hear your teeth chattering," Jimin said. "Come on, your family is already worried. You can't create another problem by getting sick, so wear this," he said in a commanding tone.

Anna surrendered. She quickly took the jacket and put it on, feeling the warmth of his sweet gesture.
