The underground space was filled up with the students as the barrier to the dungeon slowly flickered away, a staff stood at the front of the gate as each team made their way through the gate. There was an open box in front of the staff as each team captain picked up a little device that they attached to their wrist devices.
The cube like device, was attached to the vital tracking mechanism that each participant wore to help the cameras better locate each team in the vast dungeon.
Roy picked up a cube placed it in and nodded his head slightly, Nicole turned around:
"Bro, if anything should happen, it would be all your fault" she said blowing a raspberry with her tongue towards Denwen as they walked in, next up was Angus who pick up his cube and moved in, then followed by Denwen, Jay and the rest moving in by order of their ranks.
Up above in the massive Coliseum, the screen had separated into 10 smaller screens, each lighting up when a participant connects it to their wrist devices giving each screen a first-person perspective of the different captains.
Entering through the gate, the dungeon wasn't as scary as many had imagined it to be, all the horror of seeing bones lying around, dark caves with essence crystals sticking out of the walls, rather it was a wide forest field with lush green vegetations.
Tall green trees their branches forming a canopy over the ground as rays of light from the sun filtered downwards. The colorful butterflies fluttered away, the birds chirping about, the scenery stunning enough to leave the entrants unmoving for a while.
"Alright guys let's move" Roy not getting carried away called for his team's attention the moment the next team was arriving making their way into the forest to look for any of the crystals, they wouldn't let their head start go to waste.
Teams began to come in going in various directions of the forest in order to avoid early fights or battles over the crystals.
The last team to enter was Logan's team as he shook his head, slowly, his teammates feeling tensed as the pressure was getting to them. The other teams that had entered had long gone as their team could only see the break light of the ones just before them.
"Hey Logan, now would be a very good time for one of those your gadgets, don't you think" a red-haired boy said coming beside Logan.
Logan didn't respond but from his gloves little spider like drones began to drop to the floor and rush away to various directions. He tapped on his wrist device as a holographic screen popped up showing the trails of each spider.
"Uhm, do all your wrists devices do that" the unawakened girl dressed a bit different from the other four asked.
"Nope, let's just say, that's his specialty" a girl with a mage's staff responded as they all pulled closer to him to observed the screen.
"We don't have to rush off to find the crystals, they would help us scan five hundred in every direction identifying the crystals and the different threats and their strength in the process. That way we can pick our battles better" he explained causing his team to breathe a sigh of relief as there was hope of catching up to the rest.
---
Outside that audience were in uproar as they heard this some even asking if it was even allowed to have access to such a device as that was blatant cheating.
"I know many of have questions regarding what the captain of Team 10 just did, but it has never been against the rules to tamper with your wrist devices to give you aid as long as it doesn't bring harm to your team mates" Cairo came in with the explanation.
"For those who don't know, team 10 Captain, Logan Halvard is the techie genius of their level proving himself capable. Submitting his wrist device or evaluation it was discovered that he was able to upgrade a low-grade artifact from what it was to a rare grade surveillance artifact, which is just in line with the permitted artifacts for this exam" Cyra further broke down the situation.

Back inside the dungeon, Angus could be seen moving around with his team as he suddenly put his hand out stopping their advance:
"Nero, scout ahead, it has been quiet for a while…" he was still talking when two big bunnies where hopping and passing, in their mouths were tree branches as they easily broke them down, their large paws leaving massive foot prints behind.
They were about passing when as though sensing the intruders the bunnies simultaneously looked towards the group.
"Guys remain calm" Angus said taking a very careful stance in order to keep his teammates calm but unfortunately the unawakened boy in their group shook and tripped over landing on his butt.
The two bunnies' eyes slowly began to turn red as they stood on their hind limb, their height as tall as two fully grown men and around their front paws their fur began to tighten up and they moved with high speeds intending to end the intruders with one move.
"Ah shit, Briggs, Kelvin now" Angus cussed as Briggs whose limbs had already changed moved out as well to meet the charge of the bunnies as Kelvin placed his palms together channeling his mana as a fiery point appeared in front of him quickly flying out to hit the second a large explosion following after.
---
"And Team 2 are the first team to encounter the bunny disasters in the dungeon." Cairo stated the audience cheering at the action.
"Well, it should be pretty easy enough as with a peak rank 1 on their team, two mid rank 2 disasters should hold no problem." Cyra stated.
---
Denwen and his team moved quickly through the forest, the earth mage on his team, Carl, easily helping the team move unrestricted through the forest.
BOOM
An explosion in the distance was heard as echoes of the battle spilled over,
"Looks like Kelvin is at it" a boy with an arrow at his back said.
"At least their battle would attract quite the number of disasters to them making our job easier" a girl with her hands folded said with a smile as Carl sudden stopped moving and pointing to a particular tree in front.
The tree itself wasn't special but the yellow crystal sticking out of the tree was what made the students smile.
"Hey, that's a yellow crystal right" the boy with the arrow said as they attempted to go forward but Denwen put his hand out to stop the advance.
"That's too easy, instructor Dame always said that each crystal is guarded and the higher the quality o the crystal the more the disasters in the area" he mentioned looking around careful.
"Uhm cap, I think the battle is loud enough to get their attention, so it might actually be safe" Ezekiel said stuttering a bit.
"I also think you are over thinking the situation cap, we should listen to the kid" Carl said nodding his head in approval causing Ezekiel to smile.
"Fine, we would…" he was still speaking when a bunny dove down from the tree canopy above going straight towards Ezekiel for the kill.
"WATCH OUT" Denwen shouted as he spun around pushing Ezekiel towards Carl with one hand and with the other, he folded into a fist using the momentum of his spin and channeling his essence to the pair of gauntlets to hit the bunny's head instantly snapping the neck in one move.
Before they could bath in their victory, two more bunnies landed from the trees and one from the back of the tree with the crystal, the pressure of the aura they were giving off felt by all as Ezekiel held unto Carl in fright to not be targeted anymore.
