Baron Zemo—unlucky and perhaps tragically proud—now found himself facing none other than Gene, the Black Devil himself.

"I suppose you think you're clever," Zemo sneered, gripping his staff tightly. "You've guessed every step of my plan. But don't think for a second that I'll just surrender. Your little team might have the upper hand right now... but I still have a trump card."

"Living Laser. It's time," he barked.

"On it, boss." Living Laser floated mid-air between Gene and Zemo, glowing with searing heat. "Tough, armored types like you? My absolute favorite chew toys."

"Cut the chatter. Kill him!" Zemo roared.

"Got it!" Living Laser grinned with anticipation. If he could take down the infamous Black Devil, his status within Zemo's circle would skyrocket.

"You should've known better, Devil," Living Laser said, eyes gleaming. "Using that energy armor of yours? That's your fatal mistake. Because I was built to destroy it."

Brilliant light burst from Living Laser's body as the micro laser diodes implanted in his flesh activated. He transformed into a stream of pure light—photonic particles—and blasted toward Gene like a solar spear.

He didn't need brute force. His plan was much more elegant: infiltrate the armor through its microscopic joints and tear it apart from the inside—ripping apart the Black Devil with it.

That's precisely why Zemo had recruited him. This was the secret weapon meant to cripple Gene, to bring down the invincible specter of the digital age.

But reality, as always, had a different sense of humor.

Just as Living Laser penetrated the gaps in Gene's armor, a golden glow radiated from Gene's suit—an ominous shimmer that distorted the very air around him. It was as if Gene had turned into a disco ball in the middle of a nightclub, pulsing with lights and energy. Space around him warped subtly.

Zemo's smirk froze.

"What… what is this?" he muttered, sensing something was very wrong. "Living Laser, what the hell are you doing?!"

The truth was both simple and devastating.

Living Laser had become pure light. But that also made him vulnerable—especially to someone who had planned for this very outcome.

Gene had anticipated this attack. His armor was equipped with a specialized system designed specifically to neutralize Living Laser's power. Long ago, Mason Industries had rejected Living Laser's investment proposal because their photonics technology was already generations ahead of his.

Now Gene had spent an entire week refining this internal system—a tech array capable of receiving and manipulating the entire light spectrum. His armor could reduce visible light to low-frequency electromagnetic waves... or spike it all the way to microwave radiation.

Poor Living Laser, who'd charged in like a glorious comet, suddenly realized—too late—that he was inside a trap.

The internal mechanism scrambled his photonic frequency, downshifted it into electromagnetic form—

And with a soft whoosh—

Living Laser was fired out of Gene's armor like a photon bullet.

He soared through layers of metal, through the atmosphere—

And out into space.

If his trajectory held, he'd be exiting the solar system any moment now.

It all happened so fast.

The science was complex. The battle strategy? Elegant in its simplicity.

Absorb. Recode. Fire.

That was all it took.

"Th-this… this can't be," Zemo stammered, eyes wide. "Living Laser was supposed to be your counter! He was meant to destroy you!"

Gene's palm lit up with a cool, sapphire glow.

"Science is the greatest force in this world, Zemo," Gene said quietly. "And you... you've clearly been left behind."

A pulse cannon erupted from Gene's hand, blasting straight toward Zemo.

Zemo dodged in the nick of time, flipping back while raising his glowing sapphire staff. He let out a fierce roar and charged again.

The staff was an heirloom—infused with lethal energy. Zemo had trained since childhood, molded by his father's rigid discipline. His hand-to-hand combat skills were among the finest.

But some gaps... can't be closed by training alone.

Gene reached out, caught Zemo's wrist with mechanical precision—

And yanked the staff clean from his grip.

With one smooth arc, Gene swept Zemo's legs and sent him crashing to the ground.

Yes, Zemo was a refined warrior. Yes, he had experience and cunning.

But at the end of the day—he was still just a man.

Against overwhelming power, none of that mattered.

Gene didn't need tricks. No advanced weaponry. No spells.

Just pure, unrelenting strength.

Elsewhere on the battlefield, chaos still reigned.

The most intense clash was between Daisy and Abomination—a showdown of titans. Their battle echoed like thunder across the compound, the very air shivering from shockwaves.

Venom had joined in, but next to Daisy, he looked like a side character—an afterthought.

"Eddie," Venom rumbled. "I think it's time we find ourselves a new dance partner."
