As it turned out, humans were creatures quick to adapt.
Not long ago, a cataclysmic disaster had ripped across the skies above Tengu City.
Even the mountains in the surrounding outskirts had cracked apart into canyons.
And yet, for the people living in Tengu City… life simply went on.
After the initial wave of panic passed and no further disasters followed, everyone calmed down. Soon enough, the whole city had turned to online forums, endlessly discussing the event.
Threads flooded in like a tidal wave.
But in the end, it was just for the thrill of gossip and speculation.
Some buildings had shattered windows from the earlier blasts and were being urgently repaired.
But the city's overall appearance remained intact.
The streets were still lively and bustling.
At least for Souta and Kurumi, who were enjoying themselves.
Neither of them cared about the city's losses.
Souta felt he had already done enough: taking down Isaac Westcott, the great villain who sought to destroy humanity, and suppressing Mio as well. For all he had done, indulging in a little selfishness, people would understand.
And if they didn't… well, they'd just have to keep it in.
Using the bank card Kurumi's parents had once given him, Souta treated her to a high-class dinner.
Life needed ceremony, Kurumi always reminded him of that.
Afterwards, the two of them went to the cinema.
They watched the latest animated film release.
Kurumi thoroughly enjoyed the companionship, and halfway through she whispered,
"Do you think this world could be crossed into?"
Souta knew she meant the world depicted in the movie. He replied,
"Don't talk. That's rude."
"…Turn off your divine shield," Kurumi murmured.
Souta did so, and she immediately reached over and pinched this irritating man hard.
"Still not going to reason with me?" she asked in a whisper.
Her voice was so quiet it didn't disturb anyone else.
So really, this was entirely Souta's fault.
"Whether it can be crossed into, I'm not sure," he answered lightly, changing the subject. "If I ever have five hundred points to spare, I could test it. I've always wanted to try visiting a xianxia world, DxD, and 100 girlfriends who really really really love you."
Kurumi simply stared at him.
"Alright, don't be mad," Souta said, patting her leg.
A soft, smooth sensation greeted his hand, startling him.
Only then did he remember Kurumi was wearing a short skirt, she had changed before they went out.
He was so used to seeing her in her spirit dress or long, elegant gowns that he had forgotten, and his fingers had touched the bare skin of her inner thigh.
"…"
At the sudden contact, Kurumi instinctively pressed her thighs together, trapping his fingers between them.
Souta flexed his finger.
"…My~, getting so eager already isn't good, Souta."
Kurumi's words were calm, but her actions weren't.
Lowering her head, she avoided his eyes and whispered,
"This is a cinema. Do you want people thinking you're… a pervert?"
She didn't dare look up, as if forcing herself to appear calm.
Souta glanced around. There were plenty of people.
The warmth against his finger stirred a dangerous thought.
With his free hand, he pushed up the armrest between their seats and pressed closer to her.
Kurumi trembled, her body stiffening for a moment.
"Oh? Looks like you're only good with words, Kurumi," Souta said with a taunting tone. "Deep down, you're just a little girl. Hard to believe you act so composed all the time."
"…Oh? I can't let that pass."
Kurumi's competitive streak flared. She forced herself to ease the tension, turned her head, and smiled at him coolly.
"Do you dare continue? Here?"
"Why wouldn't I?"
Souta's hand moved with deliberate confidence, parting her tightly pressed thighs. His fingers traced the soft, warm skin, lingering as they grazed upward, nudging her skirt higher. The fabric bunched, exposing her to the cool air of the darkened theater.
Kurumi froze, panic flickering through her heart.
"Getting shy?" Souta pressed on, provoking her.
"Hmph…" Kurumi tried to show disdain.
The sound of the movie drowned out their whispers.
In the darkness, Souta's hand grew bolder and slipped her panties to the side as he dipped into the depths of her folds.
Higher, deeper... his fingers brushed a spot that sent a jolt through her. Kurumi bit her lip, fighting to stay composed, but her body betrayed her, leaning into the sensation. Part of her wanted to stop him. Another part craved the danger.
Her cheeks burned, her vision blurring with a haze of desire as Souta's touch unraveled her, one deliberate stroke at a time.

…
When they stepped out of the cinema, Kurumi's face glowed with a seductive blush.
It lent her youthful appearance a touch of mature allure, making her all the more tempting.
"Still standing alright?" Souta steadied her.
"Next time… not like that," Kurumi muttered softly. "Like some pervert… and I…"
"Looks like the mall's out of the question."
Souta pressed down her skirt with a grin.
"You'll need to change clothes. Being sticky doesn't feel good."
"…You seem a little too pleased with yourself," Kurumi breathed, half-lidding her eyes with a smile. "Taunting me like this, are you sure you can handle my payback?"
"Taunting? No, I was helping you realize the truth, you're weak. If you'd told me to stop, I'd have stopped instantly. But you had to act experienced, and now look, you need to change clothes."
Souta laughed, enjoying the thrill of teasing her.
"Acting?" Kurumi gave a small snort. "You'll know soon enough if I'm acting."
"What, planning to throw yourself at me again?" Souta deliberately goaded her.
Kurumi narrowed her eyes in a sweet smile, speaking slowly, one word at a time.
"You're. Done. For."
She pointed toward a dimly lit corner of the mall.
"Over there. Away from prying eyes. We'll teleport home… and then I'll devour you."
Souta shrugged, unfazed.
He had already confirmed Kurumi was just a rookie. A few touches and she was helpless.
That?
And she dared threaten him?
Heh, she didn't even know the meaning of being floored, drained, or paralyzed!
"As you wish."
Souta replied casually. Instead of heading to the corner, he simply lowered their presence with divine power.
Then teleported… and nothing happened.
"Kurumi," he said helplessly, turning to her. "You handle the teleportation."
After absorbing the leylines and Mio's power, her level was absurdly high.
With his current strength, he couldn't do a thing against her.
"Souta, that's a bad omen." Kurumi's eyes gleamed with mischief. "I'll be waiting for the moment you take back your words and beg me for mercy."
"You're overthinking it." Souta didn't flinch. "That'll never happen."
Kurumi was weak. Her clones were weak.
He was confident he could cut through them all single-handedly!
Why waste a thought on such empty threats?
