Chapter 205 - #205

Obito and Black Zetsu snatched the souls and fled.

They didn't just leave; they scrambled away, putting as much distance as possible between themselves and that cursed estate. They dared not linger in that eerie mansion for even a microsecond longer.

The domain of the Evil God, Conan, was a Death Space. Entropy ran wild there. Death was the only constant.

Aside from the God's butler, Mori, and his maid, Ran, everyone else within that radius was subject to the whims of probability. Heart attacks, tripping onto spikes, freak lightning strikes—death came in a thousand forms, some logical, some utterly baffled by physics.

The only way to survive was to stay far, far away from the elementary schooler in the blue suit.

Inside the Estate

Watching the two figures vanish into the blizzard, the Evil God, Conan, sighed, lying back on the tatami mats.

"Ugh. This is so boring."

The air pressure in the room dropped. The wood beams groaned. Reality began to warp around his boredom.

Butler Mori appeared just in time, sweat beading on his forehead. He forced a chuckle.

"Sir! Terrible news! Many people have died outside! The causes of death are unknown, and the murderer is at large! It's a locked-room mystery on a massive scale!"

Conan sat up instantly. The terrifying aura vanished, replaced by the sharp, intellectual gleam of a detective.

"A case?"

He adjusted his glasses, standing up and striking a pose.

"Let's go, Mori! We have to investigate. My name is Conan, and I'm a detective. There is only one truth!"

"I will definitely find the murderer!"

Conan dashed off toward the courtyard, excited to solve the murders he had passively caused.

Ran stepped out from the shadows next to Mori. Her expression was grim.

"I wonder how long this detective game can keep him contained."

Mori dropped the goofy facade, lighting a cigarette with trembling hands. "We keep him trapped in the game as long as we can. To the outside world, we are myths. If the world finds out about us... if he gets bored of the game... we're all doomed."

"Mori! Ran! Come here!" Conan shouted from the hall. "I need a clue!"

"Coming!" Mori and Ran sprinted after him.

"Mori," Conan pointed at a corpse. "I need inspiration. Go to sleep."

Thwack.

A tranquilizer dart hit Mori's neck. He slumped against a pillar, instantly unconscious. The "Sleeping Mori" routine began.

The truth, of course, was that the culprit was always Conan. But a detective couldn't be the criminal. Conan would deduce loops of logic, crash his own reasoning, and eventually fall asleep from mental exhaustion.

As long as he was investigating, the Evil God required no sacrifices. And the world outside the Land of Hot Springs remained safe from his chaotic influence.

Yugakure Headquarters

Obito and Black Zetsu burst out of the blizzard zone and teleported back to base.

Black Zetsu exhaled, his form rippling. "If only we could get that thing to fight for us. We wouldn't even need the Ten-Tails."

"Forget it," Obito snapped. "He's uncontrollable. But we have what we came for."

Obito waved his hand. Six White Zetsu clones emerged from the floor, their faces blank and malleable.

He formed a hand seal.

"Art of the Impure World Reincarnation: Vessel Transfer."

Guided by the dark chakra, the souls of the six Kages flowed into the White Zetsu bodies. The white flesh twisted, molded, and pigmented until it took the shapes of the legendary leaders.

Six pairs of eyes snapped open.

Ishikawa, the First Tsuchikage, looked down at his hands. "We're back?"

He looked at Obito. "Thank you, young man."

Obito, maintaining his persona as "Yuto," leader of the Yugakure resistance, bowed respectfully. "It is my duty. For the sake of justice in the ninja world."

Mū, the Second Tsuchikage, was less gracious. He slammed a fist into the wall.

"Damn it! How did that bastard Mufasa break my Particle Style? That was a Five-Kage-boosted attack! It should have split the moon!"

Reto, the First Kazekage, rubbed his temples. "The bigger question is... how did we die? And how did he release the Edo Tensei?"

The six legends racked their brains, but the memory was a blur. One moment they were firing a beam, the next—darkness. No pain, no struggle. Just deleted.

"Mufasa must have used some underhanded trick," Rasa, the Fourth Kazekage, spat. "He fights without honor."

Shamon, the Second Kazekage, crossed his arms. "The past doesn't matter. How do we deal with him now?"

Silence fell over the room.

Based on the last battle, Mufasa was effectively invincible in direct combat. He had countered their strongest attacks and wiped them out in seconds.

Obito stepped forward, his voice calm and persuasive.

"Gentlemen, do not be pessimistic."

"What plan do you have, kid?" Ishikawa asked.

"The monk may run, but the temple remains," Obito said darkly. "Mufasa is one man. He cannot be everywhere. We must unite the Four Great Nations. Even if we cannot kill him, we can stall him."

"We form a Grand Allied Shinobi Force," Obito continued. "We sweep through Sunagakure. We destroy his factories, his railways, his infrastructure. We burn his base of operations to the ground."

"Without his technology, without his subordinates, he is isolated. We will wear him down."

Ishikawa nodded slowly. "Attrition. I like it."

Reto agreed. "We Kazekages can appeal to the Sand Shinobi. Surely they will listen to their ancestors and turn back from Mufasa's corruption."

"Then it's decided," Ishikawa declared. "We will split up. Go to Kirigakure and Kumogakure. We will force an alliance."

"I hope Konoha is sensible enough to join," Mū muttered.

"They will be," Reto said. "Facing the pressure of the Cloud and Rock, plus us? Tsunade will have no choice."

As the Kages prepared to disperse, Obito raised a hand.

"Lord Kages, I have a small request."

"Speak."

"Those... messy factories Mufasa built," Obito said, feigning humility. "I will handle them."

The Kages looked confused. "Why do you want that junk?"

To them, Mufasa's machines were heretical trash that weakened the ninja spirit.

"You all come from great, wealthy villages," Obito lied smoothly. "Yugakure is poor. We can tear down the scrap metal and sell it for food."

Ishikawa waved his hand dismissively. "Take it. Consider it a reward for your service."

Ishikawa didn't know he was gifting Obito the industrial heart of the Wind Nation—cutting-edge factories Sunagakure had built in Iwagakure territory.

"Thank you." Obito bowed low to hide his smirk.

After the Kages vanished, Obito's laughter filled the room. Black Zetsu joined in, his rasping cackle echoing.

"Fools," Zetsu hissed. "Now our army of one hundred thousand White Zetsu will have weapons."

Obito's eyes turned cold. "Exactly. We aren't antiques like them. I know the power of Mufasa's technology."

In this new era, a ninja without a gun was just a target.

"When Mufasa and the Alliance exhaust each other," Obito clenched his fist, "my army will sweep the board. We will seize the Tailed Beasts, summon the Ten-Tails, and end this hell."

"Then... Rin's world will descend."

The Land of Water - Top Secret Island Lab

SLAM.

Mei Terumi kicked the door open, her bodyguard Chōjūrō flanking her.

"Orochimaru! We need to leave! NOW!"

Orochimaru looked up from his microscope, annoyed. He glanced regretfully at the massive stasis tank in the center of the room.

Inside, a pulsating mass of red flesh floated in nutrient fluid. It was covered in curse marks, beating rhythmically like a giant heart. It was the culmination of a year's research—a prototype biological weapon derived from the varied Bloodline Limits of the Mist.

"It's not finished..." Orochimaru hissed.

"Forget the experiment!" Mei shouted, grabbing his arm. "The First, Second, Third, and Fourth Mizukages have appeared! They seized the village! Elder Genji betrayed me!"

"We've lost control of Kirigakure. If we don't leave, we die."

"Mufasa sent orders. The Flying Dutchman is waiting. Sasuke is providing air cover with the Sky Fortress."

BOOM!

A distinct, cracking explosion echoed from the distant shoreline.

Mei's face paled. "That sound... it's Gengetsu Hozuki."

"If the Second Mizukage is here, the aquatic defense unit won't last five minutes. We move. Now."

Orochimaru sighed, his golden eyes narrowing. He knew of Gengetsu's reputation.

"Fine. Initiate Protocol Zero."

As they ran to the extraction point, the blast doors of the lab slammed shut. Explosives detonated, burying the entrance under tons of rock. Orochimaru hoped to reclaim his "flesh" later.

They boarded the Flying Dutchman, Mufasa's legendary ghost ship, and took to the sky.

Looking down from the deck, they saw a nightmare unfolding on the sea.

The clouds had formed into the giant, laughing face of Gengetsu Hozuki.

"Hehehe! I told you how to defeat me, and you still can't do it? Pathetic!"

Below, Mufasa's elite aquatic unit—the Whitebeard Battalion—was fighting a losing battle.

This unit consisted of heavy hitters: Three Admirals (including the Blind Swordsman Zatoichi) and the Seven Warlords (including Jinbe and Kisame's relatives). Ten S-Rank fighters.

And they were being humiliated.

Because of one technique: Steaming Danger Tyranny (The Steam Imp).

Gengetsu's Edo Tensei body allowed him to spam his ultimate move without exhaustion. He created a chibi clone made of oil and water.

The clone moved at blinding speeds. As it moved, the oil heated the water inside.

Expand. Explode.

A massive steam explosion devastated the area.

Then, the vapor cooled, turned into hail, and the clone reformed.

Heat. Expand. Explode.

It was an infinite loop of tactical nukes.

The Whitebeard Battalion couldn't get close. Every time they tried, the clone detonated. They were being blown apart, regenerated (thanks to medical ninjas), and blown apart again.

It was a massacre.
