"Electromagnetic Release: Cruel Sun."
"What kind of jutsu is this?!"
Mufasa raised his hands high, eyes locked onto the sky with unwavering focus.
A pulse of chakra coursed through him as he sent out electromagnetic signals, attempting to contact Tengan-1.
Tengan-1 was no ordinary creation. It was an amalgamation of advanced Konoha engineering, infused with the power of the Rinnegan and the Sharingan.
A massive celestial construct, bound to Mufasa as his personal summon.
However, due to its sheer size, it could not be summoned through a simple summoning jutsu. Instead, he had to guide it down using his electromagnetic control.
This was the prelude to a massive technique—one that could alter the course of battle.
Any smart opponent would take this chance to strike and disrupt his concentration. But curiosity is a dangerous thing.
Rather than attacking, everyone turned their gaze upward, following Mufasa's line of sight.
"What's up there?"
Obito squinted at the sky, searching for any sign of movement.
The battlefield, once filled with clashing steel and roaring battle cries, fell into an eerie silence as warriors from both sides stopped to look up.
The sky was clear.
The sun shone warmly.
A few birds flitted by, their wings slicing through the tranquil blue expanse.
Nothing.
Obito glanced back at Mufasa, who stood as still as a statue, his face a mask of concentration.
Was there really something up there?
He looked back at the sky, a frown forming. What was he missing?
Under Mufasa's lead, the battlefield had turned into a collective sky-gazing session.
Internally, however, Mufasa was panicking.
"Damn it... where is it? Did I mess up the signal? No, that shouldn't be possible. I need to recalibrate."
Minutes passed.
Then more.
Neck muscles strained as the onlookers continued staring, their patience wearing thin.
Finally, Mufasa found it.
A smirk curled at his lips.
"There you are. Now, hold still."
He fine-tuned the signal, sending repeated pulses to Tengan-1, floating in the vast emptiness beyond the planet's atmosphere.
At last, it responded.
The descent began.
A low rumble filled the air as friction ignited the metal shell of Tengan-1, turning it into a blazing comet streaking through the sky.
The heat intensified, flames licking the edges of the construct, accelerating its fall.
Another half-hour passed, yet Mufasa remained unmoved, hands raised.
Finally, Kurozumi snapped.
"Mufasa! What the hell are you doing? Trying to scare us with some grandiose performance? You expect us to be frightened by some invisible trick?"
Mufasa ignored him, adjusting Tengan-1's trajectory. Kurozumi's patience wore thin, anger rising in his chest.
"Enough! Fire at him! Blast him apart!"
The order never made it through. His subordinates remained frozen, staring at the sky in stunned silence.
"What are you fools waiting for?! Shoot!"
"M-My lord… look for yourself..."
Kurozumi, frustrated, turned his gaze skyward.
His breath caught in his throat.
It was as if the sun itself was plummeting from the heavens.
Tengan-1 had broken through the clouds, an enormous sphere of burning metal, its descent causing violent atmospheric disturbances.
The very river outside the city surged unnaturally, water rising in defiance of gravity.
Then, darkness.
For a fleeting moment, the colossal object eclipsed the sun, casting an immense shadow over the city.
When it shifted, light returned—but the horror remained.
"W-What is that?!" Obito, Kurozumi, and the countless warriors below could only gape, their faces pale.
On a raised platform, Mufasa finally lowered one hand, the other still guiding his creation.
Above him hovered a gigantic metallic sphere, crackling with lightning, its very presence warping the air around it.
The shadow it cast swallowed entire city blocks, its sheer scale dwarfing everything in sight.
Flames died down, revealing a sleek, silver-white shell.
Electricity arced across its surface, snapping and crackling with raw power.
Kurozumi stumbled backward, voice trembling. "This… this is insane…!"
Obito clenched his fists.
He had seen many powerful jutsu in his life.
He had fought legends. But this… this was something beyond reason.
Beyond the realm of shinobi.
Mufasa exhaled, a slow grin spreading across his face.
"I told you, didn't I?"
His voice rang clear across the battlefield.
"This is Electromagnetic Release: Exploding Heavenly Star."
He gestured toward the massive sphere above. "Or if you prefer—Electromagnetic Release: Merciless Sun."
From a distance, it truly did look as though he was holding up a miniature sun, ready to cast it down upon his foes.
A collective shiver ran through the crowd.
Kurozumi and his allies paled. This wasn't just a display of power. It was the promise of absolute destruction.
Mufasa scanned the battlefield, his smile widening into something sinister.
"Now then…"
He clenched his fist.
"Shall we begin?"
Tengan-1 shifted, its descent accelerating toward Kawasaki Town.
...
Tengan-1 hovered in the sky, its immense form moving with a slow, deliberate grace.
Below, the battlefield had long gone silent, all eyes fixated on the celestial construct above.
Even the rivers raged in response to the unnatural force that had entered their domain, surging wildly against the banks as if attempting to flee.
The people of Sunagakure, the assembled shinobi forces, and the remnants of the opposing army all stood frozen, their faces drained of color.
If that thing fell…
Would anyone survive?
Kurozumi and his now closest ally, Taifu, felt their composure shatter.
The weight of impending doom pressed against them, squeezing the breath from their lungs.
Panic surged through their veins, replacing whatever bravado they once had.
"Mufasa-sama, Kazekage-sama!" Taifu shouted desperately.
"We were just joking! Just a little joke!" Kurozumi chimed in, nodding frantically.
"That's right! A mere jest! We were just testing you!"
Tengan-1 came to a stop, its luminescent shell crackling with residual energy. Mufasa narrowed his eyes as he scanned the field.
He could see the telltale signs of shinobi attempting to flee in secret, their chakra signatures flickering along the outskirts.
Did they think they could escape him?
A smirk ghosted across his lips as he raised a single hand.
Lightning flickered to life, crackling in chaotic arcs before he directed the bolt into Tengan-1.
The effect was instantaneous.
Tengan-1 responded to the surge of energy, glowing brighter—its silver shell morphing into a pulsating sphere of condensed electricity.
Then, guided by Mufasa's will, it discharged its fury upon the river.
A colossal bolt of lightning descended, striking the water with divine wrath.
The river became a sea of flashing light, jagged bolts lashing out in all directions, turning the surface into a living storm.
Water churned violently as electricity danced across it, illuminating the night with its eerie glow.
For those who witnessed it, the image would forever be burned into their minds.
The storm passed, but the river remained alive with residual energy.
Lightning arced along its surface, creating a flickering, ethereal forest of light.
The sight was both mesmerizing and terrifying.
For three days and three nights, the people of Sunagakure feasted on the bountiful fish that had been electrocuted, their numbers so vast that even with endless consumption, the river remained full.
Mufasa's voice cut through the silence. "Without my permission, no one leaves."
Among the scattered warriors, Obito—who had been wise enough not to move—exhaled in relief.
Good. He hadn't been foolish enough to run.
Across the battlefield, fear settled in.
This wasn't just power—it was absolute authority.
The mere discharge from Tengan-1 had devastated the battlefield.
What would happen if he actually dropped it?
Kurozumi swallowed hard, realization dawning upon him.
It no longer mattered that he commanded sixty thousand troops.
Even a hundred thousand wouldn't be enough.
They would be wiped out before they could even form ranks.
He had lost.
Completely, utterly lost.
And now, it was clear.
Mufasa had never even considered him an opponent.
That explained the way he had moved so leisurely through the Land of Rivers, never once treating their forces as a true threat.
Kurozumi, for all his schemes, was nothing more than an afterthought.
Still, as a veteran manipulator, he couldn't give up yet.
His mind raced for an angle, a way to turn the situation in his favor.
"Mufasa-sama," he began, forcing his voice to remain steady, "the Land of Rivers is vast. It requires governance. Surely, you wouldn't simply abandon it?"
Mufasa's response was a sharp laugh. "And how is that my problem?"
Kurozumi stiffened.
"My lord," he tried again, "this concerns the livelihood of thousands."
Mufasa chuckled, shaking his head. "The world can be summed up in two sentences: The first is 'none of your business.' The second is 'none of my business.'"
Kurozumi faltered. "But—"
"How the people live is up to them. It's not your concern," Mufasa continued, his gaze turning sharp.
"You pretend to care, but in reality, you only seek to maintain control."
Taifu, seeing Kurozumi struggle, quickly intervened. "Your Excellency, we are different from him! We did not resist you. We surrender on behalf of Sunagakure!"
Kurozumi panicked. "Mufasa-sama, wait! This was all Momoshiki's doing! It has nothing to do with us! Please, spare us!"
His words sparked a chain reaction.
Others fell to their knees, voices rising in desperate pleas.
The collective fear swelled, and soon, the town erupted into cries and wails.
Even the most hardened warriors trembled.
What could they do? They had a god looming over them.
Even the dinosaurs of Shurima bowed before Ascended beings.
What chance did mere men have?
The cries grew louder, sweeping through the army and into the city itself.
The sound of wailing echoed across the battlefield, turning into a chorus of despair.
Mufasa clicked his tongue. "Tch. Enough."
His voice carried across the field like a commandment. "If anyone cries again, I'll electrocute them where they stand."
Silence.
Not a single whimper remained.
Mufasa slowly ascended, Tengan-1 following in tow. From above, the entire battlefield stretched before him.
He looked down upon them all—an army, a town, a people—completely at his mercy.
"From the start, I came for Momonosuke," he announced, his voice unwavering. "I had no interest in the rest of you."
He sighed, shaking his head. "But you disappointed me. You gathered your forces against me, thinking yourselves capable."
The crowd trembled as one.
"We had no choice!" a voice called from below. "Momonosuke forced us!"
"Yes! We had no say in it!"
Mufasa narrowed his eyes. "Someone forces you, and you simply obey? Do you have no will of your own?
If another ruler demanded you fight against Sunagakure tomorrow, would you do it?"
His gaze was sharp, piercing through the souls of those below.
"Spineless people don't deserve to live."
A wave of panic rippled through the city. "No, my lord! We won't!" they cried in unison.
Mufasa's lips curled into a knowing smirk. "Then tell me—will you live by your own will from now on?"
"Yes!" they shouted.
"We will live by our own will!"
Mufasa nodded, his expression unreadable.
"Then today, as Kazekage, I make a covenant with the Land of Rivers." His voice rang with finality. "From this moment forth, there shall be no nobility, no lords, no ruling elites."
"All shall be equal."
"Each man will live as he chooses."
He let his words settle before delivering the final decree.
"And if anyone dares to take that right away—"
His gaze swept across the battlefield, daring anyone to challenge him.
"—then I will personally ensure they are erased from existence."
Silence.
Then, the sand shinobis roared.
