Kyoji's surroundings began to fade. One moment, he was inside the pod—then the next, he stood in a massive white space.
He looked around. It was a plain white room stretching endlessly in all directions. There were no walls, no ceiling, no features at all. Just empty white. In front of him floated a translucent blue panel.

He moved through the initial setup quickly, like a machine. Age. Talent Type. Weapon Specialization. All basic stuff. He entered everything without delay.
Then it came to the name field.

Kyoji reached out and typed manually. He didn't like using voice commands. But as his fingers tapped the screen, the letters froze.
The screen flickered, then rebooted.

Kyoji frowned slightly. He tried again, but the screen lagged badly. Then, a second prompt popped up:

He stared at the strange suggested name without any reaction.
