One moment Arabella was holding her husband's hands and then right the next, she'd been snatched from him by a force that, apparently, even he, as the Lord of the property, couldn't fight.
Ada held one hand while Katherine held the other, the two dragged her across the hallways without an ounce of mercy.
"Why are we running?" she dared ask.
"We have permission to enter your room, don't we?" instead of answering the question, Ada asked her own.
"Yes, of course, we have permission! Tonight is an exception!" Katherine answered before Arabella had the time to even assimilate the words.
"I've got the gown!" from behind, Grace's voice blared.
The vampiress ran to catch up with them, a bundled-up piece of white fabric, which must've been the grown she had mentioned, in hand.
"Great job, Grace!" Katherine commended her.
"Can someone please tell me what is happening?" Arabella found her voice again, her eyes snapping from one woman to the other.
