Xiao Keyi's words left Xu Ke momentarily unsure of how to respond, because he wasn't sure what Xu Ke was talking about.
"Are you hiding something from me? Why do I always feel like I don't understand what you're talking about?"
Xiao Keyi then realized she had misspoken, and they didn't want Xu Ke to worry about this, so they hadn't told him initially.
"It's nothing, I just misspoke," Xiao Keyi quickly explained.
But by this time, Xu Ke clearly didn't believe what she said.
The way Xiao Keyi was acting didn't seem like someone who was carefree.
"What are you hiding from me? Say it quickly, otherwise I'll find out and get angry at you."
Xu Ke felt extremely uncomfortable now, as he was working tirelessly on the company's affairs, and yet they were hiding other matters from him.
Seeing Xu Ke in this state, Xiao Keyi was also visibly anxious. He wasn't intentionally hiding it from Xu Ke, but merely didn't want the other to worry too much.
