After coming back empty-handed once again, Xu Ke's face was etched with anxiety and depression, which were impossible to conceal. In just a short week, Xu Ke appeared significantly thinner. The once well-fitting clothes now hung loosely, looking much emptier.
"Are you okay?" A young man brought a glass of water to Xu Ke, asking with a worried expression.
Xu Ke looked at the man's eyes, which could not hide the schadenfreude, and silently lowered his long eyelashes to cover up his emotions. After so many days, he really wanted to sign the guy up for an acting class so he could learn how to perform better when pretending with him here. Xu Ke almost broke character a few times looking into those eyes, but thankfully, he managed to stay in control each time.
