Lynch could clearly sense the almost tangible, icy murderous intent surging in Alfred's gray eyes.
Clearly, the contingency plan he had set up back then with Yina's Resentful Spirit, though it hadn't succeeded in eliminating his target, had certainly caused this reckless fellow a considerable amount of trouble, possibly even having serious repercussions.
However, under the protection of the Magic Array, Lynch had absolute confidence. He shrugged nonchalantly, a tone of unabashed regret in his voice: "Was it only a bit of trouble? That's really too bad!"
As long as he remained within this area, he could maintain Rule Level strength. No matter how many tricks Alfred hid, his essence was still that of a Domain Wizard. In the face of such a fundamental gap in rules, any tricks seemed futile.
Alfred clearly realized this too. The murderous intent in his eyes receded like a tide, and the slight contortion of his face from anger smoothed out, returning to its enigmatic coldness.
