Light Church, Holy Maiden Hall.
The Holy Maiden Hall of the Light Church is not the worldly palace of gold and jade splendor imagined, its grandeur lies in an almost divine, cold purity and height.
The enormous hall is entirely built from a white stone called 'Holy Radiance Stone', each piece polished to mirror-like smoothness, refracting and diffusing the sunlight into ubiquitous gentle halos.
The dome is dizzyingly high, as if reaching directly into the Kingdom of Heaven, adorned with countless tiny crystal stones containing Light Elements, resembling a flowing galaxy even in daylight.
At this moment,
Blair Jomans is seated on a chair sculpted from a whole piece of warm white jade at the lower end of the hall. The chair feels cool to the touch, its lines smooth and perfect, priceless, yet he sits uneasy as on pins and needles.
