Chapter 6 - Distributing spoils of battle II

"I will Dad." Candy whispered, clutching his cold hand

"Thanks." Beltai said and then stopped speeding up his mana circulation, which was the only thing that was keeping him alive and the dropped down… dead.

Sniff

I put the body in my inventory for burial later. "Let's go pay a visit to the king now." I said and turned to walk out with Dayne and Candy following behind me. As we went closer to the king's chambers, guards started to increase and attacked us on sight. Like seriously why the beef? Oh, right we were going to murder their king, but jokes aside these guys were starting to get on my nerves.

"Halt!"

"Don't take another step further."

"Don't waste your word, ATTACK!"

Snatch! Thud! Thud! Thud!

I used snatch to steal their physical strength making them collapse. After some minutes of annoying guards, we finally reached the door leading into the throne room. I looked at Dayne who nodded his head, then I looked at Candy who also nodded. As I put my hand on the door, I felt it was protected with wards. I just smiled at the attempt and broke them with just a push which resulted in the doors breaking inward.

As we entered, the seven people in the room were all staring at us in somewhat disbelief.

"How? It was warded with high-class wards?" a girl among them whispered mostly to herself but due to my heightened senses, I heard her.

'Observe'

[Aldric Thorne Nytheria! Lv: 60]

[Selene Virella Nytheria! Lv: 48]

[Elira Nytheria! Lv: 56]

[Kael Dorne! Lv: 72]

[Rurik Stonevein! Lv:69]

[Lyra Valestra! Lv: 70]

'Selene and Elira must be queen and daughter, since I never met them, I'll- ' my thoughts were interrupted by the loud-mouth king.

"Sir Dayne, what are you doing with that lowlife?" He practically shouted.

"This 'lowlife' is my twin brother. So, excuse me for fighting on my brother's side instead of yours." Dayne answered emphasising the word 'lowlife'. Everyone in the room looked at us in surprise even Candy. 'Right, we haven't explained how we know each other to her.' But that's for future me to worry about. Right now, we have more pressing matters. I looked at the princess and she was looking back at me with fear and a hint of curiosity.

"Princess Elira, I assume that is you? Do you know why I am here for revenge?" I asked in a low but deep voice.

"Uuh, n-no." She said and I could sense she was being honest.

"So, you didn't have the decency to even talk about why you banished me." I said looking at the king coldly causing him to gulp and take a step back.

"When I first entered this world, I was platinum rank, it's as simple as that." I said while closing my eyes as it didn't bother me.

"What! But the power you showed as you fought was not for a platinum rank." Candy said

"No, you're lying, Father would never abandon someone just because they are weak. N-no, it should be the opposite, he helps the weak." Elira said as she looked to be almost at her break point. I mean who would blame her, a fifteen-year-old girl got her home attacked and destroyed to kill her father and now they are telling her that her father isn't the man she thought him to be. "He is right there, why not ask him." I suggested. She looked at him, hoping he would say no.

"Of course, I did, if I didn't, all other countries would think of Nytheria as a joke." He said

"So, you're telling me that the fame and glory of Nytheria is more important than a life of a human especially someone who came here against his will?" she asked looking at him betrayed.

"Elira, darling, I am sure Daddy was just putting the kingdom first." Selene finally spoke up.

"You're defending him?" now she was looking at her mother disappointed.

"Elira, this is politics. You'll get your chance to experience it." The king said.

"I doubt that statement." I said as I summoned a light spear in one hand, Elira looked shocked, I then pulled my hand back in a throwing motion, she then closed her eyes waiting for the pain of death and I guess after some time of nothing happening, she opened her eyes to see what happened only to find that I actually threw it at the magician in the corner who was casting summoning magic.

"It's done~" he said as he died.

Boom

Magical aura radiated from a purple portal on the ground where he was standing.

"Hahahaha, now your doomed. Witness for yourselves the power of the demon race." The king shouted as he opened his arms wide.

"I don't think the demon will listen to-" I was interrupted by the demon that was summoned

"Don't educate mortals about the demon race, at least not in my presence." A demon came from the portal. It looked like a human but it had unnatural green and sharper teeth but what is the biggest difference is the mana capacity, the mana was practically oozing off of him.

Observe

[Ajaku Beelzebub! Lv: 236]

I am pretty sure my observe got sensed as he smirked.

"Two can play that game." He said and his eyes faintly grew red.

 {No, they cannot!}

He then stammered back and held his head and then cancelled his observe as it was the cause of it.

"What did you do?" he asked as he stared at me.

"What are you talking about? Demon, kill them all!" the king shouted while pointing at us.

'He just signed himself a death wish.' I said to Dayne.

Beelzebub looked at the king taken aback by his level of stupidity and the burst out laughing.

"I only take an order from the one who summoned me and currently he is dead. So shut the hell up and go to hell." Beelzebub shouted as he swung his arm aiming to kill him, which would have happened if I hadn't intervened.

"Though I would like him dead, I still have plans for him, so please refrain from harming him." I said as I smiled at him.

"You're are getting on my nerve, seriously who are you?" He asked as he frown. I coiled my arm back and my arm blurred as I threw a punch square in his stomach which knocked him through the wall.

"I call dibs on Beelzebub. You two can handle the rest here, right?" I asked and when they nodded, I jumped out through the wall that Beelzebub went through. As gravity did it's thing and I started falling, I decided to test out my new skills.

 --3rd POV--

Dan fell through the sky, his white-hot energy radiating around him like a sun as he activated:

"Prominence Burn!"

The air screamed as Dan's flames warped space, flames burst from his back like wings, forming a blazing comet as he closed in on Beelzebub, who was still recovering from being punched through the wall.

"YOU DARE—!" Beelzebub roared, raising a barrier of demonic energy.

BOOM!

Dan crashed into it like a meteor, shattering the barrier instantly and sending shockwaves through the sky. Beelzebub was launched backward again, this time catching himself midair.

"You really are different this time…" Beelzebub muttered, grinning, as dark glyphs spun behind him. "Let's see how long you can keep up!"

Dan and Beelzebub vanished in a blink.

The air rippled as they clashed across the sky—blow for blow, punch for punch—each hit lighting up the skyline.

"You're strong," Beelzebub admitted, wiping blood from his mouth. "But so was the last hero. Look how he ended up."

"I'm not him." Dan's eyes lit up.

Beelzebub raised his hand and twisted space—a Crimson Void Spike emerged, warping reality like a glitch.

Dan responded with King Crimson, erasing time and reappearing with his blade already piercing Beelzebub's chest.

"Wha—?!"

"It already happened." Dan whispered in his ear, then kicked him away and activated Amaterasu, sending black flames to chase Beelzebub across the sky.

He howled in fury and released his true form—his skin turned pitch-black, his body grew wings and six arms, each wielding a demonic blade.

"ENOUGH!"

He clapped his hands together, unleashing a gravity wave that crushed the area below. Dan countered with Limitless, freezing the wave in front of him.

"This ends now."

He activated Destruction Alchemy, breaking apart the energy around them, then combined it with light manipulation, forming a spear of pure destruction and holy power.

"Goodbye, Beelzebub."

Dan flew in with a flash, his Wings of Heimdall glowing, and drove the spear through Beelzebub's chest as he activated Ko at the moment of impact. The spear's light condensed into a single point—then detonated

The explosion that followed erased the sky above the palace.

"Heh... I guess... I wasn't ready for this generation's monster..."

He disintegrated into particles of black mist.

--Inside the castle—

Dayne cracked his knuckles. "Who's first?"

Kael moved like lightning, blades a silver blur.

Dayne sidestepped, but not fast enough—a shallow cut opened on his cheek.

"Hero or not, you're still slow," Kael taunted.

Dayne wiped the blood away, smirking. "Let's fix that."

"Hero's Burst!" (Temporary 300% speed boost)

Suddenly, Dayne was faster. His fist connected with Kael's gut before the swordsman could react.

Kael coughed blood, stumbling back. "Tch… cheap buffs."

Dayne grinned. "Nah. Just better stats."

Lyra finished her chant. "Meteor Sw—"

Candy's hands slammed together.

"Ice Bloom!"

A blizzard erupted, freezing Lyra's fireballs mid-air.

Lyra's eyes widened. "Since when could you—?!"

"Since my father's magic answered me."

Beltai's glyph flared beneath her feet—+50% ice potency.

Lyra barely raised a barrier before a glacial spear shattered it, pinning her to the wall.

Rurik roared, swinging his mountain-shattering hammer. Dayne dug his heels in and caught it bare-handed. The shockwave cracked the floor.

Rurik's eyes bulged. "You… caught it?!"

Dayne grinned. "Hero strength. Don't recommend trying it."

Then he yanked the hammer forward, kneeing Rurik in the face. The giant crumpled. Selene lunged at Candy, dagger gleaming.

"You ruined everything!"

Elira intercepted, sword locking against her mother's.

"No more."

Selene's face twisted. "You weak, traitorous—"

"Ice Coffin."

Candy's spell encased Selene in glacial prison.

Dayne exhaled, rolling his shoulder. "Well. That was fun."

Candy's knees buckled—Beltai's buff fading. Dayne caught her.

"You good?"

She nodded, gripping his arm. "For Dad." as a tear fell from her eyes.

Elira stood amidst the wreckage, sword trembling. "...What now?"

Danny's voice cut through from the doorway.

"Now? We rebuild."

Dan jumped back from the hole he left through to find the throne room silent. King Aldric Nytheria, once a ruler draped in gold and arrogance, now knelt in shattered marble, his crown rolling away like a discarded toy. His guards were defeated. His queen was frozen. His daughter stared at him with hollow eyes.

Dan stepped forward, Excalibur humming with restrained power.

"You summoned me to die for your war. You tortured an innocent girl. You poisoned the one man who showed me kindness."

The king's lips peeled back in a sneer. "And I'd do it again. The weak exist to be used."

Dan's sword flickered—too fast to see.

A scream tore from Aldric's throat as his right arm thudded to the floor.

"That was for Beltai."

Another flash. His left leg severed at the knee.

"That was for Candy."

The king collapsed, writhing in his own blood. Danny leaned down, gripping his hair.

"But your real punishment?"

He activated Destruction Alchemy, pressing a hand to Aldric's chest.

"I'm taking your magic. Every drop of mana in your veins—gone."

The king's eyes bulged as his life's work unraveled. No more spells. No more wards.Just a broken old man.

Danny stood, turning to Elira.

"Your call, Princess. Execution? Exile? Or let him live… as the powerless beggar he always feared becoming?"

Elira's voice was quiet. "Let the people decide."

The former king was dragged through Frostmourne in chains by the Dan and Dayne, past the citizens he'd taxed into starvation.

They spat on him.

They threw rotten fruit.

Aldric Nytheria finally understood what it meant to be weak.
