Otsutsuki Isshiki saw that Uchiha Obito's will was firm. He couldn't persuade him, nor did he dare to waste any more time.
Using the Kama's second state meant that every minute, every second, his life was burning away.
In an instant, he raised his hand, and immediately, countless black spatial rifts appeared around Obito. From each crack, a black rod shot out, hurling toward him at high speed.
Seeing this, Obito's heart was completely calm. For anyone else, such an attack would be a nightmare. Even someone like Senju Hashirama or Uchiha Madara, if they were careless for just a moment, would be instantly killed by this move.
But even without obtaining the Double Kamui Rinnegan yet, just relying on the Eternal Double Kamui eyes, he had no fear.
Maintaining his intangible state, he said, "That move of yours is useless against me."
However, Otsutsuki Isshiki said calmly, "Did you think my Daikokuten couldn't invade your space? Hmph! You rely far too much on that trick."
Obito's expression changed.
He realized that inside his own Kamui dimension, black rifts were also forming, countless enormous black rods were now striking from within his own space as well.
The enemy had found his coordinates, opening "doors" inside his dimension, just as he himself had used Kamui to open Kaguya's Yomotsu Hirasaka before.
Now, in both reality and the Kamui space, innumerable black rods were raining down on him.
It seemed that his intangibility, before an Otsutsuki foe, had been effortlessly broken.
And this opponent, though perhaps inferior to Otsutsuki Kaguya in absolute quality and quantity, had far greater battle experience.
Seeing this, Isshiki sneered coldly, "The one to be erased is you. A being like you shouldn't exist. You only live to destroy my plans."
Yet, as countless of those now cube-like black objects came crashing down, Obito still didn't move to dodge. He remained where he stood.
A trace of doubt flashed in Isshiki's eyes. He had already determined that Obito's technique relied on manipulating his alternate space. But hadn't that move been completely neutralized by him just now?
'Why is he still so composed?'
The next moment, he had his answer.
Just as the countless cubes were about to strike Obito, they suddenly stopped midair. Then, as if interfered with by some unseen force, all of them instantly rebounded.
It wasn't a rebound in the physical sense, it was a conceptual, rule-based reversal. Their target was now locked firmly onto the caster himself.
Around Isshiki, countless black spatial rifts appeared out of nowhere.
The cubes that had previously been hurled toward Obito all reversed course, emerging from those rifts again, and now they were flying straight toward Isshiki.
A flicker of shock crossed Isshiki's eyes.
This move… it had the feeling of divine power. This mysterious man, seemingly a descendant of Kaguya, had actually cast a divine technique.
But, this level of ability still wasn't enough to harm him.
A flash of light appeared in his eyes as he raised his hand.
At once, all those incoming black cubes began to shrink, smaller and smaller, until they vanished completely.
Seeing this, Obito sighed, "I thought using your own move against you would make this easy. Looks like I was too naive."
But while Obito thought himself naive, Isshiki was the one under massive pressure.
His enemy could drag things out indefinitely, but he himself was growing anxious. Endless combat was what he feared most, because it would gradually wear down his body.
Yet this opponent had a divine technique capable of reflecting attacks, rendering many of Isshiki's moves useless.
He could only resort to taijutsu now.
Isshiki suddenly charged straight at Obito.
Watching Isshiki's rapid, impatient attacks, clearly desperate to end the fight quickly, Obito suddenly understood.
It must be that, for some unavoidable reason, Isshiki had possessed this monk's body.
But the monk's body couldn't withstand his full power. So in this current state, he couldn't maintain it for long, perhaps even sustaining it was already a massive strain.
Realizing this, Obito smiled faintly. If that was the case, then all he needed to do was stall. And if there was one thing his abilities excelled at, it was stalling.
Isshiki's speed was terrifying, countless times faster than even the Fourth Raikage. In nearly an instant, he was in front of Obito, throwing a punch.
But just then—
WHOOSH!
Obito's figure vanished from where he stood.
Even though his Kamui had been countered by the enemy's spatial powers, Obito still had other space-time ninjutsu besides Kamui.
Isshiki's punch hit nothing but air.
However, the moment Obito reappeared elsewhere, Isshiki, having already sensed the spatial ripple, moved as though he had predicted it, instantly redirecting his power and lunging at Obito again.
But in his Double Kamui Rinnegan state, Obito's neural reaction speed was beyond imagination.
Without even thinking, he used the Flying Thunder God Technique again.
Whoosh!
His figure disappeared once more, reappearing right back where he had started.
Isshiki's punch missed again, and this time, it truly missed. His entire body lurched forward from momentum, flying a long distance before stopping.
At this point, Isshiki could no longer maintain his outward calm.
"Damn it!", he roared, "Do you not have a single normal ability?"
Obito smiled faintly, "Thanks for the compliment. I've heard that line many times, it's getting old."
"So even an Otsutsuki can lose his patience?", As he spoke, Obito vanished again with the Flying Thunder God.
Isshiki kept striking empty air, each miss only making him angrier, "Damn brat! Once I catch you, I'll make you understand what pain truly means."
Obito's voice rang out behind him, "Is that so?
'But if you could catch me that easily… wouldn't that make me look incompetent?"'
"Damn you! I'll kill you!"
Isshiki spun around furiously and threw another punch at Obito.
The punch was unbelievably fast, so fast it reached Obito instantly and passed straight through him.
Isshiki's eyes lit up, this was the chance he had been waiting for. Intangibility wouldn't work against him now.
He immediately linked with Daikokuten, opening a gate within Obito's Kamui dimension, allowing his fist to strike directly at Obito's real body through that space.
"Brat, die!", Isshiki snarled.
But the next second, something impossible happened. The expected impact of flesh never came.
Isshiki's entire body once again passed straight through Obito's form, as if Obito had never physically existed in the first place.
