Finally, another day was over.
Xia Xiyan dragged her utterly exhausted body back to the door of her room.

The door unlocked.
Pushing the door open, Xiyan turned to close it.
Before the keycard was even placed to power the room, someone suddenly pulled her into a tight embrace in the dark.
"Ah—!" Xiyan jumped in fright, her brain's first reaction: A pervert!
Or possibly some sort of criminal.
Ahhhhh—someone actually lay in wait inside her room!
"Let go of me! Let go!" Xiyan screamed, attempting to drag herself toward the door to escape.
"Idiot!" A familiar voice came from behind, deep and low. "Take a good look at who I am!"
His voice was hoarse, magnetic.
So ridiculously pleasant to the ear.

Xiyan froze on the spot as if she were struck by lightning, incredulously turning her head to look.
True to form, warm light from the door left ajar spilled into the room, outlining that sharply defined face, angular features steeped in shadow.
