Ou Jue's gaze landed on Xia Xiyan, pausing for about two seconds.
Then, the Demon King curved his lips slightly. "It suits you."
"Really, really?" Xiyan spread her arms and twirled around on the spot.
Her footing twisted, nearly causing her to fall.
Ou Jue's handsome face darkened as he quickly moved forward and caught Xiyan in his arms. Looking down at the girl nestled there, he said, "Even spinning in place can almost make you trip? Can you be any stupider? You're such a troublesome idiot."
Though his words were sharp, anyone could hear the concern laced in the boy's tone.
Qiao Qianmo stared at the hand Ou Jue had brushed away, her heart sinking with disappointment.
She pouted slightly. "Ou Jue-ge, did you even hear what I said? Even if Xiyan-jie looks good in that dress, isn't it a bit much to buy two of them?"
Ou Jue's jawline tightened as he spoke coolly, "And what's wrong with buying two? If she likes it, she can buy a hundred if she wants to!"
