Evie was already used to this kind of "education" from her mom, so used to it that she could just tune it out. One arm was wrapped around her dad, the other hand pointing at her brother and sister in her grandparents' arms. "Daddy! Take me over there."
As she spoke, the little girl twisted her body, wanting her dad to carry her over to her grandparents' side.
"We'll bring Mommy over with us." Easton picked Evie up with one arm and held Lily with the other, walking toward Christopher Turner and Sophia Wood. Once they got there, the three of them sat down beside their parents.
After they took their seats, Easton and Lily greeted Cedric Fisher and Autumn York. Once they'd exchanged greetings, Thomas Fisher finally called the waiter over to order.
Because she wasn't all that satisfied with Alice Turner as her daughter‑in‑law, Autumn spoke very little, though the expression on her face didn't show it too obviously. She kept a faint smile on the whole time.
