Alice Turner didn't verbally respond to Lily Turner. She just smiled and reached out to hold her hand. Together, they left the restroom and walked toward the living room.
"Sis! It's so good to see you again."
Lily Turner held Alice Turner's hand tightly. The grip unconsciously strengthened, as if only this could keep her from thinking it was a dream.
Alice Turner sighed and squeezed Lily Turner's hand, "I'm sorry! I've worried you these past few years."
Leaving home for these years, the family must have been worried about her. Thinking about her impulsive actions five years ago, she felt she was selfish, only considering her own feelings.
"There's no need to apologize between us. You're my sister; it's natural for me to worry about you." Lily Turner didn't need her sister to apologize. Her sister had always cared for and loved her since they were young. Gratitude seemed too simple a word to express her feelings.
