Watching the male and female leads in the movie happily together, Alice Turner felt particularly melancholic. Worried that Thomas Fisher next to her might notice something, she tilted her head to lean on his shoulder, so he couldn't see her face.
Unaware, Thomas Fisher thought she was moved by the scenes in the movie. He lifted his arm to hold her who was leaning on his shoulder and tilted his head to kiss her lightly.
Alice felt Thomas's kiss, but unlike usual, she didn't shy away from him. She remained motionless, staring at the big screen ahead, without any response to his kiss.
Seeing Alice like this, Thomas thought she was deeply engrossed in the movie. He couldn't imagine that she was silently sorrowful, sorrowful that they were destined to meet but not to be together in this lifetime.
