Alice Turner's excessive behavior once again unexpectedly calmed Thomas Fisher down from his anger. He stared at her for a long time before slowly speaking: "What's wrong with you today? Who made you angry?"
Once he calmed down, he realized that she was behaving very unusually today; she wasn't acting like the person he knew.
"You made me angry. Just seeing you annoys me now, and you make me feel disgusted." Alice Turner realized the situation had suddenly changed and thought disgustedly that she couldn't let her hard-won outcome be destroyed. She angrily gave Thomas Fisher a hard push, "Get out of here, and don't let me see you ever again."
She had told him to get lost; she couldn't believe he wouldn't angrily slam the door and leave.
Alice's action was so sudden and forceful that Thomas Fisher, unprepared, nearly stumbled to the ground. He staggered a few steps before he could steady himself.
"I'm sorry!"
