When Michael Linton rushed to the hospital, Fabian Holmes, who had received the news, was already waiting at the door of the ward. Seeing his brother-in-law hurrying over, his nerves immediately tensed, and he perked up with utmost vigilance.
"You're here!"
At the moment the distance between them closed in, Fabian asked in a low voice.
Michael merely glanced at his brother-in-law who greeted him, then silently bypassed him, pushing the door open to enter the ward.
Seeing his brother-in-law's indifferent attitude, Fabian knew he must be angry and dared not slack off at all, immediately following him in.
By the time he followed inside, Michael had already reached the bedside, bending over to carefully watch Amelia Linton lying in bed.
Sister really was asleep, seeming to sleep very deeply.
But why were her eyebrows knitted tightly?
Michael instinctively reached out to touch Amelia's furrowed brow, trying to smooth it out, but after several attempts, he was unsuccessful.
