At night, after Lily Turner fell asleep, Easton Holmes tiptoed from the bed to the sofa.
It was already late at night, but he felt no sleepiness at all. He lay on the sofa facing the ceiling, staring blankly—or rather, deep in thought.
That night, two other people, like Easton, also couldn't sleep: his parents.
"What's wrong? Can't sleep because you're thinking about her?"
Fabian Holmes tossed and turned with no intention of sleeping. Amelia Linton, lying next to him, immediately thought he was thinking about Ivy Shaw. Annoyed, she turned to face him.
Because of what happened in the afternoon, Fabian was already irritated. Hearing the woman next to him say that, his temper flared, "Don't make something out of nothing."
After saying that, he turned away from her and lay down.
