When Easton Holmes couldn't get through to Lily Turner's phone, he guessed that she was on a call with Alice Turner. Now, hearing her question, it completely confirmed his previous guess.
"Did your sister tell you?"
He knew her sister had called her, but he wasn't sure exactly what her sister had said. Regardless of how her sister phrased it, the gist of what he meant was conveyed clearly.
"Don't play dumb, just tell me if it's true or not." Lily Turner placed the spoon she was holding into the bowl and turned sideways to sit face-to-face with Easton Holmes. Her eyes were wide open, staring at him unblinkingly, waiting for him to give her a definite answer.
Seeing this, Easton Holmes reached out and pinched Lily Turner's cheek. "Why are you staring with such big eyes, do you want to eat me?"
While speaking, he waved his hand in front of her eyes, forcing her to blink.
"Don't change the subject, answer my question."
