Entering the kitchen and seeing that the food in the thermal container hadn't been touched, Easton Holmes furrowed his brows and looked at Lily Turner standing beside him, "What's going on? Why didn't you eat?"
Though his words sounded like a question, his tone showed no hint of accusation.
"It's all your fault. I was about to go downstairs for dinner, but then you..."
As Lily Turner spoke to this point, she suddenly stopped. The latter part of the story wasn't pleasant, and she decided not to bring it up to avoid making them both unhappy.
Even though Lily didn't finish her sentence, Easton understood what she was implying, but he chose not to say it out loud.
"The food is cold now. I'll heat it up, and you go wait for me in the dining room." As he spoke, he gently pushed her towards the kitchen door.
"It's already late. I'm not eating."
Lily hadn't come downstairs to eat. She intended to take this opportunity to interrupt Easton from doing something bad to her.
