"Rise! You lazy slowpokes!" The great snake issued orders through his general: "Raise the shields, lift the spears, let the rain of arrows cover the sky!"
The snake-men swiftly sprang into action. From afar, the snake-men's camp looked like a surge of mixed red and black waves, amidst which gleamed the light of steel weapons. However, Wislin's cavalry did not regard this tide as a threat at all; they dashed towards the heart of the snake-men camp like a blade seeking to cleave the ocean.
The great snake raised one hand high, causing the ground to rise abruptly, forming a thick earthen wall in front of Wislin. The rocks bared their vicious faces, their sharpest points aimed directly at the approaching cavalry. Wislin blew the horn, drew the longsword from his waist, and raised his arm while shouting, "Charge! Knights of Pate!"
