"Nine months?!" Lady Jing Ya looked at Jimo Shanshan excitedly. "Shanshan, are you pregnant?!"
"It's still too early to tell. I haven't confirmed it yet, but, um..." Jimo Shanshan noticed everyone was eating and quickly stopped herself.
"This is wonderful!" Lady Jing Ya laughed. "Your grandparents would be even happier than I am if they found out!"
"Grandma, let's not tell them just yet. If it's not true, it might disappoint everyone," Jimo Shanshan smiled and said softly. "On the way here, I told Seventh Brother not to mention it, but he went ahead and spilled the beans anyway."
Tong Yao chuckled. "That's the right move. If your mom knew, with her personality, she'd rush over here in a fit of excitement."
As everyone talked and laughed, Long Che silently got up and left the dining hall.
Tong Airui picked up a napkin from the table, crumpled it into a ball, and threw it straight at Maize Kai's face. "Why are you making such pointless comments about something uncertain?"
