Chen Shu turned back warily, like someone frightened by every rustle of grass or tree.
The large, burly men behind him also turned to look.
It was a young man, dressed casually, wearing sunglasses perched on the bridge of his nose.
The man leaned against the wall at the mouth of the alley, his thin lips curled into a mischievous smirk.
Chen Shu stared at him for a while, feeling as though he'd seen this man before.
It wasn't until the man pulled down his sunglasses to reveal a pair of narrow, fox-like eyes.
Chen Shu froze for a moment, then immediately plastered on a sycophantic grin and jogged to greet him. "Mr. Xiao, what wind brings you here today?"
The man's gaze slid past him, landing on the girl bathed in the sunset's glow. He smiled lazily and said, "Miss Shen, need me to take care of this for you?"
Chen Shu's steps stiffened mid-stride.
Take care of what? Obviously, take care of him!
